It's takes a village to create an inspiring Safety culture and buy-in throughout. Often our partners indirectly dictate our site culture and overall habits - good and bad.. We had our recurring Safety leadership call yesterday and highlighted what is working in some regions and what is not in others. The common theme is we must buy-in to Safety collectively and create a collaborative environment to improve internal/external engagement and set a positive example regardless of the environment. I saw this interesting sign today. I understand the knives and guns, having to take them back to your vehicle. However, I am super confused by the "Bombs"! Are people walking around with bombs in their pockets these days? And if they are is asking them to go put them back in the vehicle the best response? I feel the same logic is used at work a lot when it comes to safety. We say things like "Zero Unsafe Acts!" As if people are just walking around trying to dangerous thing and get themselves or other hurt. And if these people are walking around just looking for ways to hurt thselves or others, is posting a sign to tell them not to the best response? #HOP #Culture #leadership #executiveleadership #CEO #COO #safety
