It is best that the Bill, in its current form, should not be presented during the National Parliament Session in May 2024. This is to allow additional, better and refined consultations so that all the stakeholders are on the same page and doubts are removed. In addition, the "revised" Bill should authorize 100 % PNGean ownership of gold refining and sales. "Occidental Petroleum Corp. agreed to acquire Texas shale driller CrownRock LP in a cash-and-stock deal valued at about $10.8 billion as consolidation heats up in North America’s most-prolific oil basin. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024, subject to regulatory approvals, Occidental said Monday in a statement. The company has lined up $10 billion of committed bridge financing through Bank of America Corp., according to an investor presentation. That’s expected to be replaced with more permanent financing including term loans and bonds. Occidental, which also plans to issue about $1.7 billion in new shares to fund the deal, rose 0.7% at 9:37 a.m. in New York. CrownRock, the third-largest closely held oil producer in the Permian Basin, has operations that complement assets Occidental acquired through its massive 2019 takeover of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. NCM in N$6.8 billion private placement Namibia Critical Metals Inc. (NCM) last week announced it intends to complete a non-brokered private placement in the amount of up to CDN500,000 (about N$6.8 billion) consisting of units offered at a price of CDN0.06 per unit representing a 7.7% discount to the closing price of the common shares of the Company on November 17, 2023. Each unit will consist of one common share and one warrant. Each whole warrant will be exercisable for one common share at a price of CDN0.10 for a period of 24 months. A maximum of 16,666,667 common shares of Namibia Critical Metals will be issued pursuant to the Private Placement (assuming full exercise of all warrants).
