𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞! #NEWS about Sam : Like all the contenders for the next Vendée Globe, Sam has two transatlantic races lined up at the end of this year. 👉🏻 Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, 9:30 am, he will begin the first of his Herculean labors, prefigured by the start of the 16th Transat Jacques Vabre Normandie Le Havre A few days after arriving in Martinique with his co-skipper on FOR THE PLANET Antoine Koch, the Briton will tackle a return transatlantic race, this time single-handed, headed for Lorient, key to validating his participation in the solo round-the-world race at the end of 2024. An important episode that Sam refuses to focus on for now, as he concentrates on the start from Le Havre. 🌎 In a highly competitive context, the initial phase of the race will not allow for any approximation, and the two sailors are straight off aiming at the top places. A dynamic exit from the English Channel, will be followed by an invigorating passage through a first front. and after 36 hours, it will be time for key strategic choices. A Real Deal For all Shanice’s who know their customers well. Have I caught your attention with my unusual boat? But work needs to be rewarded fairly. So let me start with the following consideration: • My boat is not intended for the mass market. • It's small, complicated and expensive - but really great to sail! I like to exaggerate that a little. Because if you recognise that, you have a great chance as an agency. Especially if you know your customers well. It's not every day that the average leisure skipper has the opportunity to spend a couple of days bolting across the water on a trimaran or even experience an adrenaline-fuelled sailing trip. It is something very special. And something special always sells particularly well. So if you have the necessary skills and actively offer this to your customers, you have excellent prospects of a booking - and enthusiastic sailors' hearts!
Dragonfly Trimaran Charter from Italy 🇮🇹 joined Booking Manager System to gain greater global visibility and inrease sales. The operator offers a fast sailing Trimaran ideal for sailing enthusiasts, that can accommodate up to 4 people. The trimaran equipped with racing sails is now available for real-time bookings from Portopiccolo, Sistiana. ⛵#YachtCharter ⚓#YachtCharterBookingEngine

Several high-profile events, including the renowned Edinburgh Festivals, the exhilarating UCI Cycling World Championships, and captivating international rugby at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, contributed to the surge in numbers. The Boats racing in the Ocean Globe Race are now in their 4th week at sea on their way to Cape Town for their first stop over. Pit Stops, or Stop Overs give the crews a much needed rest, essential down time and some relief from the relentlessness of working watches. It is also a chance to fix any problems on the boats and make sure that the both boat and crew are in the best possible state for the start of the next leg. When we did the 89/90 race we never had less than three weeks in port and we needed every minute of that time to make sure we were ready for the next leg. At the moment the leading boats are sailing in the High Pressure system that dominates the South Atlantic. They are trying to work out the best tactics to go east towards their destination while trying to keep in favourable winds and stay out of the windless centre of the High Pressure. There have been plenty of messages from the boats and some very good photographs. Maiden’s last phone call to the Ocean Globe HQ was impressive. They are obviously pushing the boat and crew hard. This is a good thing, not only for this leg, they are also finding out what isn’t working so well and figuring out ways to change or improve it before the next, much tougher Leg, 6,650 miles to New Zealand. Comms from the boats further back in the fleet show that they have better food but slower boat speeds. The boats in this race have many and varied reasons for competing. However, it is at the end of the day, inescapably, a race, and there are deadlines. The first of those is looming large. The 5th Nov is the date of the restart in Cape Town. No skipper would happy at the restart, with less than a week to prepare the boat and crew for this gruelling cold leg. The idea of setting off badly prepared would be their worst nightmare. - Sally (Sal) Hunter was part of the original Maiden crew to sail around the world in the 89/90 Whitbread Race. In just two editions, Ibiza JoySail has become one of the leading superyacht races in the Med. Its third edition will be held from 27 to 30 September 2023, coinciding with the end of the summer season, with STP Shipyard Palma as the starting point and Marina Ibiza as the host port. The third Ibiza JoySail has aroused huge amounts of interest among superyachts. As a result, the Organising Committee has decided to make it an invitational event due to the sheer number of applications eager to take part. As from this year, the maximum number of competing yachts will be twenty, making the race truly exclusive and highly desirable. Another novelty this year is that the event will start on Wednesday 27 September, with the now traditional offshore race between the islands of Mallorca and Ibiza (where S/Y Moat set the overall record in 2022) and will end on Saturday 30 September with various racing courses between Ibiza and Formentera. Unlike the previous two editions, it will finish on Saturday instead of Sunday, meaning that owners will have one more day to enjoy the island before leaving. #Yachting #YachtCrew #SuperYacht ##YachtRace #Boating #Sailing #Maritime #Onboard #OnboardOnline

Why is the line honors in sailing so valuable? Line honors in sailing, like Comanche claiming the Rolex Sydney Hobart line honors, represent more than just a race result. It's about showcasing the pinnacle of performance, strategy, and teamwork. Securing line honors means being the first yacht to cross the finish line, a feat that requires impeccable navigation, sail handling, and tactical decision-making. For Comanche, it's a testament to their cutting-edge design, skilled crew, and relentless pursuit of speed. Beyond the trophy, line honors embody the spirit of competition and excellence in the world of sailing. https://lnkd.in/eXaw_cXY
