Join the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and co-presenters MHI, the International Code Council (ICC), the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and the Structural Building Components Association (SBCA) for the 2024 Innovative Housing Showcase, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. June 7-9. “In what’s now an annual tradition, we engage thousands of Americans on the National Mall in new, innovative methods for building housing. But we cannot do this alone – we rely on our amazing partners and co-presenters to bring this effort to fruition,” said HUD Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman. “Together, we are looking forward to hosting thousands more visitors this June, highlighting how we can build resilient, affordable homes into the future.” “MHI is pleased to be a co-presenter for the 2024 Innovative Housing Showcase,” said Dr. Lesli Gooch, Chief Executive Officer for the Manufactured Housing Institute. "This year is especially meaningful as it marks the 50th Anniversary of the law that authorized the HUD Code for Manufactured Housing, establishing a collaboration with industry that continues through this day. As the HUD Code continues to be updated to foster innovation, we are able to meet a wider range of housing supply needs, scaling the efficiency of off-site construction to expand attainable homeownership.” In addition to MHI supporting the event as a co-presenter, UMH Properties, Inc. is coordinating with Cavco Industries, Inc. and Champion Home Builders, Inc. to display homes on the National Mall. #IHS2024

IN order for folks to be able to take advantage of this, build them faster to entice the purchase in the first place. I have been doing appraisal's on manufactured homes for 15 years (this include training time) and I have yet to see a single Manufacture Home Advantage Build. What happened to this? Where are they? Are they not offered in the PNW (Oregon, Washington)

How do MHCSS compliant (DAPIA/IPIA appeoved HUD-code manufactured home’s: walls floors ceilings and windows compare in terms of minimum required energy efficiency to Modular homes built to IECC? Are these HUD code homes in the photo built beyond the current minimum HUD-code Uo 1994 requirements? Or are the homes in Mall in this photo built and certified to EPA Energy Star or DOE Zero Energy ready MH requirements, to take advantage of IRS 45L builder tax credits?

I will be there! It's just blocks from my residence and it's the sector that HAVEN CAPITAL VENTURES INC Family of Funds focuses on.

When will the expectation for the Manufactured Housing Insitute go beyond photo ops and get into something serious, like increasing production to the levels the industry is capable of producing? Manufactured housing is down some 76 percent since 1998. The population is larger. The industry has potentially useful federal laws on the books. We should go Jennifer Blankenship. The mall in Washington DC is awesome. (It would be work related).
