It’s national Co-production Week, we would like to share a few examples this week of great co-productive practice across our organisation. Our Carers Wellbeing Service Calderdale approach to involving the people they support in the service demonstrates a dynamic and responsive model of care that empowers carers, enhances their quality of life, and fosters a supportive community through active co-production. Read how the team ensures that carers have continuous opportunities to provide feedback and insights and how the team continually adapts and improves their practices based on this feedback here https://lnkd.in/eZyG3KEz

Co-production Week highlights the significance of collaboration and partnership across all sectors. It focuses on bringing together individuals, organisations, and communities to work together in creating and delivering services, projects, and initiatives. For us at Mind in Berkshire, co-production emphasises the idea that those who use and benefit from services should have a say in its design, implementation and further development. This approach fosters a sense of ownership, empowerment, and inclusivity, resulting in more effective and sustainable outcomes for client's and staff wellbeing. #Co-production Week serves as a platform to showcase successful co-production practices, share knowledge and experiences, and promote the value of involving diverse stakeholders in decision-making processes. It's important to remember a co-productive approach can be life-changing and it doesn't have to be difficult. So, please, never be afraid to collaborate. #CoproductionWeek #Collaborate #Partnership #Empowerment #MentalHealth #Berkshire

🚧 This week, Sessler Environmental Services joins in observing National Work Zone Awareness Week, a vital campaign promoting safe driving practices in work zones! 🛣️ Our projects often involve road closures, lane reductions, and traffic shifts to prioritize safety for both our crew and drivers. 🏗️🚗 Remember these key tips when driving through active work zones: 🚦 Slow down: Stay vigilant and reduce your speed. 👷♂️ Respect the cones: Follow signage and flaggers' directions. 🚗 Keep your distance: Maintain a safe space from workers and equipment. 📵 Avoid distractions: Focus on the road and put away your phone. At Sessler Environmental Services, safety on the job site, especially for our team, is our top priority. Transforming my Shared Lives service : A lesson from Yard Act's electrifying performance. What do a band and social care have in common? Read on to find out how watching Yard Act last night has inspired me to want to build and amazing Shared Lives scheme for everyone involved with or drawing upon support from it. Sometimes, we need a little inspiration to help us see our work in a new light. That's why I want to share my experience from watching the band Yard Act with my brother in Manchester last night, and how concert that left me feeling inspired and energized for my work week ahead. Their electrifying synergy on stage and was a fantastic example people collaborating together to create something much more powerful than the sum of its individual parts. Watching their performance inspired me to think about the Shared Lives scheme I manage and how we can create something which is better through involvement of my staff team, Shared Lives carers and, and people that draw upon our support. Just like a band where each member plays a crucial role, in social care, we rely on the unique strengths and perspectives of each team member to create a harmonious service. The magic of Yard Act's performance lies in how their diverse musical elements came together to create something greater than the sum of its parts. It's a powerful reminder for me that when we encourage diversity and foster collaboration, we can achieve extraordinary outcomes. Its given me loads of food for thought for the year ahead with MacIntyre Shared Lives. #Teamwork #InnovationInCare #SharedLives #Collaboration #SocialCare

Was Incredibly insightful to sit into this workshop around Neurodiversity with Felicity Rideout on Friday! Thanks to Julian Pace, Happiness Co for the invitation. Key Take aways I had gained from this workshop were the following: 💡 Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change. -10% of the population have dyslexia, however, 40% of self-made millionaires are dyslexic! - 35% of successful entrepreneurs are dyslexic. Strengths - (Affects reading and spelling abilities.) Not Comprehension! Great at Problem solving, leadership, visualization and verbal communication... My dad has dyslexia left school at 13. He had founded four businesses and is in the middle of founding a 5th. I am so proud of him. (He is currently in Australia visiting) - Funny things that have already made his time here so special is giggling at the fact he thought Tim Tams were what tampons were called. We all had a big giggle. When he spotted a Blogger and called her a blobber. So much joy filled around it! Or my youngest brother how he makes fun of me for not being able to sing one song lyrically correct. Singing Strawberry whiskey instead of Tennessee whiskey. Anytime I would struggle with speech, language, expressing myself or being understood I would be so very hard on myself yet find the joy in it from others! Until I begun to watch how other inspiring people embraced it. Them loving themselves helps others love themselves. ADHD Thoughts : Rumination, or the persistent dwelling on negative thoughts, is a common issue for those with ADHD. This tendency to fixate on past events or worries can exacerbate feelings of anxiety and depression, often linked to ADHD's difficulties with attention regulation and emotional control. I had felt so alone until I heard this information! Providing workshops to schools or organizations such as Felicity Rideout's is crucial for individual understanding. I believe information like this can save and help lives! Well done Felicity!
Loved this mornings staff enhancement workshop with Felicity Rideout on Neurodiversity 💙 We’re so excited to help our clients roll this topic/workshop out from 2024 and beyond 😁
