I put this site together (in my case it was the “suicide pool” motivation 😎) to provide this insight. It lets you pick a date, see the games for that date, and pick the game you want to explore. Besides all the standard stats, I’ve also gathered injury reports, projected starting goalies and came up with a few of my own stats, like: - Days of Rest for each team - Record against teams who are over .500 - PP% against this team (I.e. combining their PP% and the other team’s PK%) - Upset%/was upset% - how likely teams are to win when they are the underdog or lose when they are the favourite, respectively - Odds of an upset in this game - And more! 😎 If you give it a try and think of other information/analytics you’d like added, let me know! 😎

Derek outlines the importance of building trust and a relationship when new players join his team. This is the exact thing new players should be focusing on when joining a new team. This starts when you attend your first camp, and when you meet a coach for the first time. It's never too early to start building that relationship and trust. A strong relationship with your coach can lead to more opportunities within the team and in a camp setting a better chance of securing a spot.

This talk examines some of the multifaceted aspects of the Negro league baseball renaissance. It documents the Negro league revival, which has been expressed in myriad, sometimes surprising forms, and considers some of its cultural and historical sources. My comments, however, are just a prelude to a public conversation I want to have with people attending the Colloquium. I've been thinking a lot about how important draft strategies are to NHL teams and wanted to explore the concept of "moving-down" and "trading up" that many teams utilize in their draft philosophies. In my latest Substack post, I used data from previous NHL Entry Drafts from 2005 and beyond as well as publically available player data to explore and analyze the impact of trading down in an NHL Entry Draft. With this analysis, I determined a draft strategy for teams to maximize their draft selections to the fullest of their abilities. 📊🏒
