#sustainability: how to know if your everyday actions actually have an impact? I found out today that Strava now shows the CO2 saved on bike rides! What a great way to motivate the choice of soft mobility 🚴🏼 3.6kg x 2 per day x 3 per week x 46 weeks a year = 994kg of CO2 saved per year by biking to work for me, that’s real tangible progress. One ton !! Super cool to get an actual measurement. Moral: We need more and better cycling paths to make biking a more accessible mean of transportation! There are more people optimistic about the bicycles as a means of commute than the bicycle industry itself! Perhaps, because the industry still looks at them as a tool for health and leisure and not commute. Or that is where the larger market is currently. But it’s important the industry also sees how large the market can grow if cycles start getting used for commute, through PBS!
