#1 Building Permit Expert in the 🇺🇸 USA 🇺🇸 |Engaging entrepreneurs who start build grow | Founder & CEO at McCormick Compliance Consulting Executive VP/Shareholder at Milrose Consultants
This graph perfectly sums up a large percentage of client perception of the municipal approval experience. There is a sense that the process will never end, is too complicated and general frustration until an approval is actually in hand. The “valley of disappointment” is where most project managers will spend their days, navigating the process and attempting to communicate where the finish line actually is - to keep the team motivated to get there, together. This is where the client experience is forged. 99% of the time, whether or not a client will return for their next project is a direct result of the communication and how they felt during the lowest point of the project. #projectmanagement #clientexperience #customerexperience #customerjourney #communication #overcommunicate #transparency #jamesclear #plateauoflatentpotential #scheduling #process #proactivenotreactive McCormick Compliance Consulting, A Milrose Company Milrose Consultants Permit Advisors Masterplan, A Milrose Company Project Expediters Consulting Corp JM Zoning LLC Special Inspection Services Engineering, DPC Howard L. Founder & Chief Operating Officer @ Elevate Construction | Leader in Business, Planning, Lean, FPS™, Takt (TPS®), LPS®, Supers, FEs, & Foremen
🚧 This position is beginning to fail!!! 🚧 We must act fast! --In order for this position to work we must link it to results, have enough proximity with the project, and not neutralize it by only doing proposals and business efforts. General Supers should... 1. Be responsible for the results. 2. Build teams. 3. Not be too distracted at corporate. 4. Have the ability to focus and be in proximity with the project or projects. 5. Not play savior with project teams. 6. Be paid, honored, and rewarded for their contribution if they perform. 😳 Right now there is a trend happening where companies are either neutralizing the position or removing the position altogether. 😳 To pull it back we need to get back to the basics. Projects win when... ↗ They are built by master builders. ↗ That master builder can assemble the right team. ↗ When that master builder has a way to connect with workers and create a great culture. ↗ When the master builder plans the project with the trades and pre-fabricates and systematizes everything he or she can. ↗ When the master builder has the latitude to use the right systems and implement on the front end. ↗ When the master builder has experience and a great track record. None of these can happen if we neutralize or misuse the position of GS. The position of GS is NOT to do proposals all the time, be in business meetings, and drive around in the truck talking to project teams. The position was meant to build people and projects! Let's get on track together! What would you add to the list and the warning? Love, Jason https://lnkd.in/e5T8cYPP

I partner with General Contractors, Real Estate Developers, and Owners reps to hire construction management professionals
Because of the number of seasoned superintendents who will retire over the next five years, it's estimated there will be a 30% reduction of Supers in that time. That's a massive amount of knowledge and experience leaving the industry. Is your company planning for this? How are you harnessing that knowledge and preparing the next generation of field supervisors? #superintendents #constructionmanagement
