📢 Exciting Project Milestone! 🎉 We're thrilled to announce the successful completion of the second NPA-VAWC (2023/24 – 2028/29) in collaboration with UNICEF Tanzania! Our team at Maestral has made significant strides in updating the situation of violence against women and children (VAWC) in Tanzania. We achieved comprehensive data updates and provided a robust justification for the new plan. We developed a thorough theory of change and results framework, finalized the implementation plan and M&E framework with SMART results, and supported the costing exercise with a focus on feasibility and sustainability. These efforts ensure the NPA-VAWC is well-informed, actionable, and sustainable, guided by INSPIRE and RESPECT Women strategies. We are excited to share the completion of Maestral’s project on family strengthening, commissioned by UNICEF and the Ministry of Family and Social Services (MoFSS). Despite delays from the February 2023 earthquakes, we assessed family support services across seven provinces through 73 data collection visits. Our comprehensive technical paper proposes a family strengthening model, framework, and implementation roadmap, tailored to Turkey's context and aligned with global best practices. We are proud to share that Maestral’s comprehensive evaluation of Belize's Child Protection System with UNICEF has been nominated for UNICEF's top evaluations of 2023! Our team assessed the existing structures and procedures of the CPS, highlighting areas for improvement and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. The evaluation's findings will guide UNICEF’s Belize Country Programme and strategy, ultimately enhancing child protection services in Belize and similar contexts.
