Mastering Wall Graphics: A Quick Guide for Success "Transforming spaces with wall graphics has surged in popularity, thanks to advanced large-format printers. Offices, schools, gyms, and hospitals now utilize blank walls for mission statements, promotions, or brightening up spaces. Yet, improper wall graphic installations are common pitfalls. Key considerations: Site Survey: A thorough assessment, including peel testing and surface smoothness checks, is crucial. Identify paint types and potential clashes with adhesives. Paint Type and Application: Washable paints pose challenges; sanding or using a sealer can overcome issues. Allow sufficient time for paint bonding before graphic application. Production: Ensure ample ink, material strength, and proper temperature during printing. Allow for out-gassing before lamination or cutting. Media Choice: Tailor media selection to factors like internal/external application, wall type, and graphics size. Consider specialized options for long-term performance. Installation: Dedicate ample time to prevent stretching during fitting. Remove liner from the face film to reduce stretching. Plan overlap positioning for optimal impact. In conclusion, successful wall graphic installations hinge on meticulous preparation and consideration of factors like surface, paint, adhesive, and installation techniques. Choose wisely to ensure a lasting impact without committing to a permanent change." #ZipGraphic #Wallgraphics #Wallcoverings #Preperation # #Knowhow

An illustration of what it entails to create new designs. I wanted to make a storage box for the walls of my Dynamod Dungeon System. This is supposed to be simple, I know the shapes, sizes, tolerances, I designed the walls myself after all. It still took 38 designs that I 3D printed and tested, and many more that never even left my modeling software ... just to come up with a storage system. You see the final box, it looks and feels trivial, it's still weeks of work to get there. #design #3dprinting #3Dprinted #dungeontiles #3dmodeling

Unraveling the Color Code: RGB vs. CMYK 🌈🖨️ Ever wondered why your digital designs look vibrant on screen but lose a bit of their sparkle in print? It's all about the color modes – RGB and CMYK. 🌟 RGB (Red, Green, Blue): Primarily used for digital screens, it's an additive color model where different intensities of red, green, and blue light combine to create a spectrum of colors. Perfect for websites, social media, and anything viewed on a screen. 🎨 CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black): Designed for print, it's a subtractive color model where layers of transparent ink (cyan, magenta, yellow) are combined to create various hues. The 'K' stands for black, adding depth and detail to printed materials like brochures, business cards, and posters. 🔍 Why does it matter? Using the wrong color mode can lead to discrepancies between what you see on your screen and the final print. To ensure your designs look stellar everywhere, make the switch between RGB and CMYK when necessary. 💡 Pro Tip: Always check and convert your color mode before sending your files to the printer! Understanding these color codes is like having a magic wand for consistent and eye-catching designs. ✨ Now, go forth and create visual wonders that dazzle both on-screen and in print! 🚀 #ColorModes #DesignMagic #PrintDesign

The A-Series Size Trick Every Print Pro Needs ! There's a clever trick to mastering A-series paper sizes, and it'll make you a hero at the office. Here's the trick: 1 _ Know one size: Memorize a common size like A4 (210 x 297 mm). 2 _ Double the short side: To get the next size up (A3), double the shorter dimension of your known size (210 mm in this case) - that's 420 mm. 3 _ Keep the long side: The longer dimension stays the same (297 mm for A4 remains the width of A3). Voila! You've just figured out the size of A3 (297 x 420 mm). This logic applies to all A-series sizes. Need A5? Halve the long side of A4 (297 mm / 2 = 148 mm) and keep the short side the same ! The size of A5 is (148 x 210 mm). Bonus Tip: Download a handy A-series size chart for your desk or phone. But with this trick, you'll be a paper pro in no time! #printing #paper #design #marketing #tips #tricks #lifeprotips
