Its very easy to earn 6 digit amount each month… I make money more then many people who are working in government jobs at grades 16 and 18. In Pakistan, government jobs were considered the best. Because they had good pay, #job security, and respect. But... After #Covid a lot changed. Cultural differences decreased. IT became the biggest field. And the salaries of people working in IT started to become the highest. In Pakistan, people learned many new skills and started working with global companies and clients. And You know what? Software Houses and BPO centers registered with PSEB had reached a figure of 2860 by 31st December #2020, out of more than 10,000 #tech companies actively registered in Pakistan. The increased business demand saw the revenues of these entities soaring significantly and consistently, crossing $1.23 Billion. But why i am telling you this? Dear reader.. The point of the story is simple... Those who dare to learn and grow are the true architects of their destiny. So go forth, and write your own extraordinary tale.

In January 2022, the Treasury clarified the policy position on the definition of “employee” and the requirements to be considered a “qualifying employee” under the ETI Act. The amendments emphasize that substance over legal form will be considered when assessing an employer’s eligibility to claim the ETI. This means that actual work must be performed based on an employment contract, and the employee must be duly documented in the employer’s records, in accordance with the record-keeping provisions in Section 31 of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, 1997 (Act No. 75 of 1997). Moreover, the employee must receive cash remuneration from the employer for services rendered. #ETI #YouthEmployment #TaxIncentives #QualifyingEmployee #SouthAfrica

Thank you for raising this topic @SolomonMulugetaKasa, I do appreciate your years long contribution in building awareness to the public and now you have the power and influcnce/inform government officials. So, I would like to propose few strategic points aimed at enhancing our participation in the global Gig Economy. Notably, many prominent U.S. technology corporations are delegating jobs internationally to optimize costs, with India, Mexico, and certain European countries being key beneficiaries. To address the limited market share we have acquired thus far, consider the following actions: 1. Talent Development: Cultivate a community proficient in advanced, market-relevant technical and interpersonal skills. 2. Educational Reform: Update and refine the curriculum across all IT-related educational programs to align with industry demands. 3. Developer Community Engagement: Strengthen our networks among developers. Beyond academia, peer-to-peer learning platforms are vital. #GDGAddis is a good example. I started and lead #GDGBahirDar for a year before I relocate to US. We need more like this . FYI , Nigeria has 50 GDGs. 4. Payment Methods: We should be able to pay for any resources we need either training/books/ cloud resources with our own currencies. 5. Language Proficiency: Enhance English language proficiency, considering its limited use in our daily interactions yet critical role in global business communication. 6. Internet Reliability: Advocate for consistent internet access, as government-imposed disruptions, particularly outside the capital, impair developers' work and can erode international trust in our capabilities. I recall internet was down for 6 months in a year because of state of Emergency , that contributes to the failure of my tech start up. 7. Stability and Peace: Prioritize the establishment of a stable environment. The absence of peace not only hinders new business engagement but also has resulted in the departure of established international enterprises. What else should we add? If Ethiopia can establish a strong presence in the global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) market by outsourcing 20,000 tech jobs annually with an average of 4,000 USD/month, it could potentially earn forex revenue of 1 billion dollars. That is almost on par with what we make from our entire coffee exports. Imagine what we can earn if we can outsource more jobs as a nation! Let that sink in! #EthiopiaTechRevolution #BPOBoom #JobCreation #JobForTheYouth #Ethiopia
