Compressed Air Technical Services Inc. - Compressed Air System Studies - Energy Audits - Leak Surveys
COMPRESSED AIR TECHNICAL SERVICES INC. "Keeping It Real" ??? Recently had some folks ask me about "Keeping It Real" What the heck does that mean? It very simple because it describes the company, the owner and Chief Auditor Scott Clark. It means not meaning fake and being true to ones self and values, but more importantly, being true to the innate values that all people acknowledge as respectable. Not inhibiting oneself or pretending to be something you're not; but also, not following dominate values that should not be acceptable. Honestly, it's about doing the right thing through genuine fairness and reasonability. That is what "keeping it real" means to us. I am honored to work with this company and Scott Clark. You didn't know, now you know.

this needs to be taken on board in the energy sector of the industry SAFETY 1ST IS THE KEY
Is time a factor in performing work safely? In 1937 W.T. Wooters a Pennsylvania Bell Telephone Co. general plant manager was giving a safety meeting to his district plant superintendents. One of his most memorable contributions to telephone service was his safety creed, "No job is so important and no service is so urgent-that we cannot take time to perform our work safely" It highlights the importance of taking the time to assess risks is critical as it enables a greater understanding of potential hazards and risks associated with a task. Rushing or taking shortcuts may initially seem like time-saving, but they often bypass essential safety measures, increasing the likelihood of errors, accidents, and compromised work quality. There are many real life examples of accidents that had they taken time and assessed the risks, avoiding shortcuts and other pressures that circumstances would be so different. - The Deepwater Horizon oil spill. In an attempt to save time and cut costs during drilling operations, safety measures were disregarded, and warning signs of a potential blowout were overlooked. - The Space Shuttle Challenger disaster where engineers were under pressure to launch despite concerns about low temperatures that could compromise the O-rings, vital components in the shuttle's boosters. It is too simple to say that taking time alone could have prevented a different outcome. But it highlights how lack of time or time pressure can change how people behave or make decisions. #timemanagement #decisionmaking #error #humanfactors #criticalthinking #outcome #accidents #incident #risk #hazard #projectmanagement #leadership #management #safety #safetyculture #culture #planning
