Help Lyon-Martin secure its forever home, for generations to come. 🌈✨🌱 225 Valencia St. is a beautiful, stand-alone, 3-level building that will more than double our space to 17,000 square feet. Just blocks from our current and previous locations in the historic Lesbian Corridor & American Indian Cultural District in the Mission, this building was formerly the American Indian Cultural Center. We are excited about the possibility of reclaiming this space for our LBTQIA BIPOC communities and combating further gentrification in the area. Lyon-Martin has a unique opportunity to secure financing for construction, but we need your help to reach our $2M fundraising goal by the end of June! We are 85% there – help us cross the finish line! Donate today and be part of this historic moment! 🌈✨ Visit www.savelyonmartin.com for more info

YTL Construction is thrilled to share our involvement in the Yellow House Rejuvenation Project – a joint initiative between YTL Foundation and Yellow House. 🌟 • Located in Ampang, Yellow House, a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities, is raising funds to renovate and rejuvenate its space, a haven for the urban poor and refugee communities. Since its inception in 2011, Yellow House has provided shelter to over 6,000 homeless individuals and refugees and hosted a thousand international volunteers. 🙌 • Today, the aging home needs some TLC to keep its vital social programs running. Renovation work is already underway, and we're excited to announce that YTL Foundation has kickstarted this campaign with a generous RM50,000 donation, matching Yellow House's own fundraising efforts. • However, we still need another RM175,000 to complete this essential project, and we need your support! Every small bit matters. 💚 • And because we at YTL Construction believe in sustainable building materials, we're innovating and designing differently, using bamboo – an eco-friendly building material – to give Yellow House a fresh look and feel. 🎋 • Join us in supporting this worthy cause by donating directly to Yellow House through the link in our bio. Together let’s make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. 💪 • #YellowHouseRejuvenation #MakingAFutureHappen #Sustainability #DonateNow #YTLCares #BuldingTheRightThing

A sustainable humanity will dispose of the endless cliches that rationalize our actions. "It's nothing personal." Nonsense! We'll be reborn the moment our endless cliches die. Here's what it looks like. #Noesis #NoesisProject #Nonprofit #HumanSustainability #HumanInjury https://lnkd.in/enpF7c3F

Spreading Interdependence- Everything we do creates a ripple effect in the world. Nature mirrors this truth, showing us that each positive or negative action can influence an entire ecosystem. Certain ideas protect and sustain life, and perhaps the greatest of these is interdependence. It is said that once someone fully understands interdependence, they could never cause harm, for they recognize that everything is connected on the most subtle level. Sera Mey Monastery is a place where this profound idea of interdependence is preserved, and within it, the Gyalrong house is particularly remarkable. Supporting those who have devoted their lives to contemplation and purification is an ancient tradition spanning millennia. The Maitri Project aims to facilitate the creation of merit through the timeless practice of Dana, or giving. We now have a rare opportunity to further the wisdom of interdependence into our world through our generosity to Gyalrong house. If you feel called to be a beacon for the world, please consider making a donation. Here are some current oppurtunites available to help further the containers which preserve the teachings on interdepdence. Immediate Need: We need to raise $615,800 to complete the $768,485 project. Your generous donation will transform countless lives. Ways to Give: • Sponsor an entire room: $12,000 • Half a room: $6,000 • Quarter room: $3,000 • Eighth of a room: $1,500 •. Any Amount benefits Each contribution, regardless of size, is vital. www.themaitriproject.com

For most of us living in developed countries, our bridges tend to be constructed more for convenience and efficiency – to ease congestion, reduce commute time and/or to merely get to the other side of the road. But for some, it means much more than that… Bridges to Prosperity (B2P) is a non-profit organisation that constructs trail bridges to provide rural areas in Africa better access to the outside world; a better access to education, resources, healthcare and other economical opportunities. Unlike our bridges, these bridges provide access to critical resources, and have significant economical benefits which we often take for granted. This year, my team (Camille Debost Quentin Lovric Robert-Marie Bescond Amalia Vradi Ronan BOHEAS Máté Opoldusz Olivier Zacharie HAPPI Alfonso-Nicolas DOMINGUEZ PORIHE Vitor-Manuel RAMOS MORAIS Jonathan ELLIOTT) and I are lucky enough to participate in the construction of a suspended trail bridge in Rwanda. This bridge will cross the Mitabi River and will provide the community of 3,000 people in the municipality of Rulindo, an opportunity for a better future. This movement might appear small at a glance, but with continuous effort and contribution from many, we could bridge the gap that is ever so evident and aim to make the world a better place especially for those who don’t have the advantages we do. This is where we will need your help. We are appealing for your contribution to the project. Funds raised will help to cover additional construction and travel cost of the team. If we raise enough, remaining funds will be donated to B2P for other future projects with a similar cause. Donations can be made through this link (https://lnkd.in/eKKZKYae.) Your contribution will be greatly appreciated by the community of Mitabi. If you would like more details about where your contribution would go to, please feel free to connect with me.

Did you know? The 2023 Edmonton Affordable Housing Needs Assessment revealed that by 2031, experts anticipate that nearly 34,000 households in Edmonton (all earning less than $45,000 per year) will require monthly rental rates of less than $1,125. Additionally, 2,500 households (earning less than $15,000 per year) will need rent levels of less than $500. At the Civida Housing Foundation, we believe everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home. By supporting the Civida Housing Foundation, you play a significant role in transforming lives, building stronger communities and creating brighter futures. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference! Consider donating today, at https://lnkd.in/eaC42JDc. #LifeStartsWithAHome #YEG #AffordableHousing

Looks like a cool project Francesco Cox. #AdaptiveReuse projects are always exciting, especially because most of them do not have adequate information about the buildings that are being #repurposed. Most of them DON’T have #structural drawings, history of changes/repairs, #asbestos remediation history, among other things. But they do have few things in common: poor condition of structure, #buildingenclosure is compromised leading to #structuralintegrity issues, and building code compliance to meet current requirements, among other things. It’s great to have the #expertise and #resources to solve challenges related to adaptive reuse.
Old buildings always offer a unique challenge. Last week we were back at the site in #wheeling for a second round of concrete testing and some #gpr scanning. This time we were taking some core samples to check for depth of carbonation and chloride content. #Adaptivereuse projects are always interesting projects to work on. #ECS is excited to be part of the team that bring these projects to completion. This particular building was donated and is undergoing a complete structural renovation for a #nonprofit in the Ohio Valley. Wheeling is growing!
