🔑 To be able to open new doors we had to close others at Lykon. Recently, we asked ourselves how we can have even more impact on people's health and wellbeing faster and reach one million customers sooner. 🧐 The short answer is: a. We need to focus on one vertical instead of many to build even better and more customer centric products .🧬 b. Let’s target "sustainable weight management" as according to WHO obesity and overweight is already an epidemic with >54% of the Europeans already being affected causing massive health issues like diabetes 2 and depression. c. Let's be bold.  💪 So we decided to cut corners, partly pivot the Lykon business, restructure, collect funding and bring old and new investors on board. We are thrilled to share that sugar.fit, an Endiya Partners portfolio company, has successfully secured $11 million in their Series A funding round! A warm welcome aboard to MassMutual Ventures leading this round and a big shout-out to our co-investors Curefit - house of cult and Tanglin Venture Partners for their continued trust and collaboration. Their impressive eightfold growth in paid subscribers and service to over 25,000 users are a testament to their unwavering commitment and vision. The recently secured funding is destined to foster the development of more robust clinical programs, spearhead scientific validations, and most importantly, to make a genuine impact on millions of Diabetic patients in India who often lack immediate access to vital resources like clinicians, nutritionists, and counsellors. The WHO's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development underscores Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs), including diabetes and associated ailments, as pivotal challenges to achieving sustainable development. Sova Health, a pioneering startup in gut health, has secured $1 million in a seed funding round. This round was co-led by global early-stage venture capital firms Antler, Accelerating Asia Ventures (Singapore), Practical VC (USA), and VC Grid & Venture Catalysts (India). Additional investors include Quadrant Consumer Products and Midas Capital (Baheti Family Office), along with several prominent angel investors who remain undisclosed. The newly acquired funds will be allocated to product development, enhancing Sova Health's range of gut health solutions. The startup also plans to grow its team and expand its geographical market presence. Part of the investment will be directed towards launching a clinical trial for Sova Health’s Digital Therapeutics (DTx) program, reinforcing the company’s dedication to scientific research and product effectiveness. Founded by Tanveer Singh and Max Kushnir, Sova Health addresses various gut health issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acidity, constipation, and bloating. Sova Health offers direct-to-consumer gut microbiome tests and a proprietary line of probiotic supplements. Additionally, they provide customized gut health programs tailored for individuals with gastrointestinal conditions like IBS, IBD, GERD, Crohn’s Disease, and chronic acidity. Their comprehensive approach integrates gut biome diagnostics, probiotics, and nutritional therapy to alleviate symptoms and promote remission. Bengaluru-based sugar.fit, a healthtech startup, has secured $11 million in a Series A funding round, with MassMutual Ventures leading the investment. The round also included contributions from existing investors, such as Curefit - house of cult., Tanglin Venture Partners, and Endiya Partners. The primary focus of Sugar.fit revolves around managing and reversing Type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes utilising a holistic and data-driven digital health experience. The newly acquired funds are earmarked for the expansion of services, the launch of offline facilities, and a substantial thrust into research and development in diabetes management.
