There's a unique opportunity at the end of this year - 2024, to try this out. Could it be a Renfe-SNCF collaboration? If the last one could be judged, I would say it didn't fully live up to expectations! With France bringing in a number of new high-speed trains from Alstom, perhaps there's an oppurtunity to refurbish SOME of the older euroduplexes into sleepers? Worth an experiment? Bold, innovative gambles, will be what converts people from air to train. We were having fun with our April fool. But who would like to explore it further? Help from my community needed: Searching airport contacts for a Japanese start-up Today I ask for the help of my community. Currently we are working on a longer project with JETRO Startup, helping Japanese start-ups to get access to European networks, as there are many Japanese start-ups that actually deliver great solutions but have challenges to enter the local networks in Europe. One of those start-ups is Bespoke Inc. founded by Akemi Tsunagawa in 2015. The start-up has a great AI powered service solution for people in search of help and information, most urgently in chaotic situations - for example at big airports. Airports are also a main target of the company. It is already working with several Japanese airports including Narita, Tokyo, but also with airports in the US and first ones in Europe. But they want to introduce their service oriented chatbot to more passengers around the world (more in below article). LYNEports, a leading Romanian firm specializing in advanced air mobility (AAM) planning solutions, clinched victory at the Aerospace Xelerated (AX) Startup Pitch Competition, held on July 25, 2024, at the Farnborough International / Farnborough Airshow. The competition, which showcased six innovative finalists including Eddytec, Estuaire, Sora Aviation, OneGrab, and Flux Aviation, recognized LYNEports for its compelling pitch, innovative product, and potential to significantly impact the AAM sector. The company’s win is marked by a £5,000 prize, six months of mentorship from the Aerospace Xelerated team, and an exclusive exhibition space at the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow. Rasha Alshami, Founder & CEO of LYNEports, expressed gratitude: “We are honored to win this competition. Competing with such inspiring startups has been a privilege.
