🤖 ✈️ Last week, we discussed how robotics can support employees in the aviation industry as part of the Lufthansa Group Innovation Runway Lunch session. Our guest speakers offered exciting insights into their daily work: 💡 Stuart Holdstock (Head of Projects & Processes Group Ops from Lufthansa) explained how robots and autonomous vehicles can be used to automate baggage handling and loading/unloading processes at the ramp and in the cargo center, improving process time, staff safety and health but also reducing loading staff shortages. 💡 Björn Eckermann (Referent XR Training Technologies from Lufthansa Aviation Training Group) showed how cabin crew can be trained in the future using robots and full immersive #VR surroundings to simulate emergency scenarios. This offers many advantages, such as high-quality realistic and haptic training, high training flexibility, high productivity and low costs. 💡 Dr. Fereshta Yazdani (Technology Consultant from Lufthansa Industry Solutions) outlined how robots can support employees on cruise ships while at the same time offering unique entertainment to the guests and increasing customer engagement.
