Yes I am pale pretty much all year round but I am also a huge believer in also wearing sunscreen all year round so I was super happy to read about The British Beauty Council calling for sun protection to be reclassified as an essential, making it exempt from VAT! With retailers like LOOKFANTASTIC.COM and Superdrug offering discounts on SPF products. With rising melanoma rates and many skipping SPF due to cost, it's clear: sun safety is a public health issue. Here's why we need a change: Melanoma is preventable: 86% of cases can be avoided with sun protection. Cost is a barrier: Many find sunscreen expensive, leading to skipped application. This very simple regimen gives the skin a chance to bounce back to its unique status quo and lets us discover and experience it’s baseline. Give this very minimalist–or rather essentialist–skincare regimen mythat will support the skin, and strengthen its barrier and ecosystem. Think about it.
