The EU Mission on Smart and Climate Neutral Cities wants to establish 100 climate-neutral European cities by 2030. 🟢 The selected cities develop a Climate City Contract to collaboratively plan and implement concrete actions aimed at decarbonizing urban transport. Strategies are being implemented to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with infrastructure for electric vehicles and the expansion of pedestrian zones. The challenge in decarbonizing urban mobility consists in rethinking large monofunctional areas such as Science Parks, Industrial Parks, Malls and others and their connectivity by means of soft modes. And their integration of complementary uses. A huge field to explore innovative solutions since still nowadays, those monofunctional areas are being planned.
