Reflecting on my current part-time diploma journey, I’ve encountered diverse teamwork dynamics, much like the various cuts of a carrot that contribute to a whole. Each team member, akin to a unique carrot cut, brings distinct qualities and experiences. Navigating through group projects in every module (especially for UX design and digital project management), I’ve realised the importance of setting expectations as a group lead and supporting my teammates. As my class exhibits different personalities and perspectives, it’s a testament to the uniqueness of this learning experience. I believe this is the course distinctiveness, emphasising on the blend of personas contributing varied qualities. Despite my background in facilitation and training, there’s a continuous learning curve to understand people better and collaborate seamlessly on multiple projects. We may be different, but our shared goal is creating better engagement through digital communications. As most people’s work week draws to a close, the most exciting part of mine is just starting! Got all the gear ready to join EcoVend at the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix tomorrow and Sunday! For this weekend only, we’re taking on new job roles to get into the F1 spirit…but im petitioning to make ‘Head of Race Strategy’ my new permanent title. Here’s where I think Marketing Managers and Race Strategists overlap: ✅ We have to react to changing conditions on the fly, often completely rewriting the strategy at a moments notice. 📈 Data analysis is at the heart of what we do, but at some point we’ve got to trust our gut to make the right decision. 🧠 We need to to know the business and the strategy inside and out, to make the right decisions ✅We’re tasked with finding the solution, but are also quickly placed in the hot seat if things don’t go to plan. …and of course the shared passion for making sure our team/business is at the top of our game, making the most of opportunities and navigating tricky circumstances.
