𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁! Our latest post is about the 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 (𝗣𝗜𝗙𝗚) project. We’re collaborating on a 5-year plan to expedite affordable, resilient homes for Las Cruces, New Mexico. The city of Las Cruces continues to grapple with social inequalities and housing challenges - long-lasting effects of 1960s urban renewal. The PIFG project is funded by a “Buildings Up” prize sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). It is a community-led project which aims to bring change by addressing energy efficiency, housing quality, and workforce opportunities. As a proud partner of the PIFG project, HML is contributing expertise to build a materials ecosystem, train local businesses in healthy building practices, collect building-level energy efficiency (EE) data, and consult on the design of healthier housing. Good job we’ve got recovery Monday coming up! UKREiiF If you were there, you’ll know how good it was, if you weren’t, make sure you attend next year. We had a few of us from Pulse Consult attending, Tom Howells, Ian Carey, James Peake, James O'Keeffe and Alan Boucker flying the flag for Pulse Consult Developments Limited An incredible turnout, even on wet Wednesday (if this were MIPIM the streets would be empty but the handy free brollies helped ☔️). It was great to catch up with many of my contacts and, of course, to meet new people - the beauty of this event being that this was quite often a chance encounter when taking a moment to sit down, have a coffee and share phone chargers! ☕️📲 There were positive messages from talks and Local Authorities surrounding regeneration plans for regions spanning the UK, collaboration, sustainability in the built environment and advanced tech and use of AI in the construction industry. Not without challenges along the way undoubtedly, but that’s why we’re here to help! Well done to Nathan Spencer and all organisers, and a shout out to the clean up crew who worked tirelessly to keep areas clean, tidy and as mopped as was humanly possible! If you missed me there and would like a coffee and a chat about how we can support a client or upcoming project, please do reach out. Here’s to keeping the conversations going until next time…cheers 🥂 #conference #construction #property #regeneration #networking #leeds #projectmanagementconsultancy #costconsultancy #principaldesigner #projectcontrols Kevin Jones I Graham Black I Jonathan Aldworth I Paul Adams I Russell Dobson I Paul Gibbs
