An email or SMS seeking to influence your vote or opinion is rarely covered by these rules – the sender does not need your consent to send it, and does not need to include an unsubscribe facility. "🇫🇷🗳️ Democratic fever among the French in Auckland: there was a queue stretching into the street in front of the Alliance Francaise to arrange proxy votes for the upcoming legislative elections. Fortunately, the process is quick, and Clémence from the French Embassy was incredibly efficient. You still have the opportunity to come and validate your proxy vote tonight, tomorrow, and Thursday from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM. It only takes a few minutes. #DemocraticFever #FrenchElections #AucklandVotes"
