Relive the incredible journey that brought NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's GOES-U weather observation satellite, the fourth and final of the GOES-R Series, successfully into orbit. It will provide advanced imagery, real-time mapping of lightning activity and persistent monitoring of solar activity and space weather. Following GOES-U, we were selected by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration to develop the nation's next generation weather satellite constellation, GeoXO, for NOAA. GeoXO's new capabilities will deliver more accurate weather forecasting and address emerging environmental issues and challenges.
I think I think that with this wonderful satellite, we can observe the values of the interaction between the Earth and the Moon and the changes in the earth's layers. also I think it is possible to detect possible valuable elements in Earth's orbit with GOES-U. In my opinion I think it can be done in autonomous vehicles that work with GOES-U and collect possible valuable elements in orbit with magnetic vortex. short description
Nova satellites are operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the United States. These satellites are used for various purposes related to weather monitoring, environmental research and climate studies. The AVHRR sensor is located on this satellite. Different series of this satellite are available.
There are very real realities when it comes to funding and process and change and lift… compartmentalism and easing of the ability of better… amidst big connections and streams and pools. Stake holders and beyond. The parallel play isn’t really that “playful”…
Congratulations to Lockheed Martin on achieving another milestone in space technology with the successful launch of NOAA's GOES-U satellite! 🛰️ Your dedication to advancing weather observation and forecasting capabilities through GeoXO is truly remarkable. Exciting times ahead for accurate weather forecasting and addressing environmental challenges. Keep pushing the boundaries of innovation in space exploration!
As an MFC employee I get so lost in our business area that I forget that LM has a space program. Amazing! Would love to work with space just to say, I did it!
We hope this one will make some difference
Exciting times Lockheed Martin!
What's progress on micro drones?
Awesome! A little bit more about the GOES-U satellite: It is equipped with a suite of advanced instruments, including the Compact Coronagraph (CCOR), which will provide crucial data on solar flares and coronal mass ejections, directly impacting space weather forecasting. Additionally, the satellite includes a lightning mapper, a key feature of the GOES-R series, which has significantly enhanced weather forecasting accuracy. This technology allows meteorologists to analyze lightning data, providing a more comprehensive understanding of storm intensity and improving warning systems. GOES-U acts as a bridge to the future GeoXO satellite program, set to launch in 2032, promising even greater advancements in weather prediction.
