Many people do not realize the scope of services we offer to individuals and children in Washington, Greene, and Fayette counties who have been affected by domestic violence. We have created a "Did You Know?" video series to showcase our work. Check out this episode to learn about our PeaceFromDV Walk and Hockey & Chill raffle, and how you can help DVSSP raise critical funds to support survivors across southwestern PA. #DidYouKnow https://loom.ly/EtAXk9c

If you worked at FuseFX you most likely worked with Diane Macke in some capacity. She was always there and trying to help with a calm demeanor. Like Steve said, it’s been a very tough year for the entire industry. We’re not at the other side yet - but if you have the ability to help out at all I’m sure any amount would make life just a tiny bit easier for her 3 young children. Sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of what matters most, especially with production deadlines looming. But it’s a good idea to take the time to appreciate who/what you have while you can. #vfx #visualeffects #vfxindustry
Hello VFX friends, If you ever worked with Diane Macke over the years, then you understand what her loss is to our industry. I know it’s been a tough year for many of us, but any financial help is appreciated to help her family. Thank you.

Earlier this month I presented ResearchPRO's Data Done Right course to nonprofit members of Human Service Chamber of Franklin County. As we continue through the coursework with homework, TA sessions, and 1:1 coaching; I'm reminded of the challenges fundraisers at small, social service organizations can face while building prospect pools. Without a database full of wealthy alumni or grateful patients, the default assumption is that it's impossible -maybe even unethical- to prospect among the people we serve. It's no secret that I find such assumptions misguided and short-sighted. But, the questions remain. ❓How do you engage non-wealthy individuals in your fundraising? ❓How do you ask the people you serve to support you? ❓How do you avoid dehumanizing the people you serve while sharing your impact story? In this episode of ResearchPRO's Black Gives Back Conversation, Anedra Kerr explains how executive leadership at Jeremiah Program remains in fellowship with those they serve and builds a pipeline for the future -- while serving Moms living in poverty. Their visionary work includes a paid stipend and a non-traditional approach to fundraising. Check out our conversation to learn how they do it. 🧡

#BlackHistoryMonth reminds us that we need to be thoughtful, informed, and brave about race, and that 'color-blindness' is not the answer. However, for many parents and other caregivers, introducing topics like race to kids can be challenging. When life partners Andrew Grant-Thomas and Melissa Giraud sought resources to help educate their young children about race, they found little available for parents. They decided to tackle the problem head on by founding EmbraceRace, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting parents, guardians, educators, and other caregivers in raising children who are thoughtful, informed, and brave about race. This effort is essential so that all kids and their adults can live in a world where U.S. multiracial democracy can thrive. EmbraceRace has become a trusted partner for caregivers and educators, especially in times when intentional conversations about race are crucial. The organization provides tools, resources, discussion spaces, and networks to help adults engage children in meaningful and brave conversations and actions about race. To gain deeper insights into the mission and work of EmbraceRace, listen to co-founder Andrew Grant-Thomas in our Bite-Sized Insight video: https://lnkd.in/eh-SNEz6

At many organizations, including Save A Family Plan, the fiscal new year is April first. This is a great time to check with your employer to see if they offer a donation matching program. If they do, it could mean DOUBLING the impact of your charitable giving! Here is a great video submitted by longtime donors, Brad and Misty, sharing how they did it. If you're willing to share this info with friends and family, please share this post or send them the direct link (https://lnkd.in/dHzqVeQu) Here's a tip: if your company does not currently offer a gift-matching program... maybe they will if you propose one :) #DoubleYourDonation #giftmatchingprogram #peoplehelpingpeople #sustainabledevelopment #saveafamilyplan
