My boss just called to lay me off; and to also say thank you; and, most importantly, to not stop asking questions :) He says people don't ask questions and he really appreciates that i do. Believe me, i totally do! This is great validation for me to continue asking and to continue not being ashamed of learning. Do you know how many lifts I've stopped because it's new to me and i need to make sure it's correct, let alone when i know it isn't correct. Stop, jump down, ask them to show me how it works then double check. "I am sorry, but i have never seen this before or done this before so i need to double check with my boss or another journeyman." The riggers can't say much except okay. And I get to laugh at myself when i see how common that lift device actually is.... or the situation. Any way, what a wonderful boss and mentor. Knowing i have a knowledgeable person, who gave me permission, to call/ text about questions i have is valuable. He's a smart cookie! I better head out and update my resume and get my ass in another seat!! ❤️
