Yesterday, I attended the presentation of the third aggregated sustainability report, and it was very interesting to discover the steps forward that the Italian food industry has taken in terms of environmental, social and economic sustainability. However, even more interesting are the future sustainability paths that Italian firms in the food industry can pursue. In my opinion, there is a need for increasing awareness about this topic, both towards consumers and towards businesses, especially SMEs.
