The electric buzz of positive impact still lingers in the air following the #InnovationSummit Paris 2024. Even though I’m now back in Warsaw, I still feel a green energy wave! I was thrilled to be a part and contribute to make this impactful event happening, surrounded by industry experts, engaging discussions, and enlightening Expert Learning Sessions. They allowed attendees to listen, learn, and share knowledge - a collective effort toward a more sustainable future. We met there to talk about urgent climate reality and how to prevent further harm as the 1.5°C global warming threshold has been crossed for an entire year. Groupthink is detrimental to smaller ecosystems as it suppresses innovation. When these groups conform to prevailing opinions, it hampers the creative process and limits the exploration of unconventional ideas. Smaller ecosystems, lacking the robust checks and balances of larger ones, are particularly vulnerable to the pitfalls of groupthink. This conformity can result in a narrow investment focus, overlooking potentially lucrative opportunities outside the mainstream. Breaking free from groupthink is essential for smaller ecosystems to thrive.
