Standing Firm for the Future of Our Children In a world where the early years of childhood lay the foundation for lifelong success, it is not only our responsibility but our moral duty to stand up for the rights and well-being of every child. Important: At this moment, the following programs are actively advocating for the Cincinnati, Ohio community. You can support their efforts by making a donation. Much like the struggles of past generations who fought for justice and equality, today, we must be vigilant in our pursuit of educational equity for all children, regardless of their background. The fight for quality early childhood education is the fight for a brighter, more equitable future. "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." These words, written from a place of deep conviction and sacrifice, resonate now as they did decades ago. We cannot afford to be silent or passive in the face of inequity. We must actively engage, educate, and advocate for policies that ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. Let this be our call to action. Let us channel our passion, our expertise, and our collective voices into ensuring that all children receive the early education they deserve. Let us stand together, as allies and advocates, in the ongoing battle for justice in education. Website: https://lnkd.in/dCD_4eTJ Join us in this crucial work. Together, we can make a difference. #EducationForAll #Advocacy #EarlyChildhoodEducation #EquityInEducation #4cforchildren #chatgptpt #chatgpt

Imagine a world where every child, regardless of their background, receives a fair start to life—a world where education isn't just a privilege but a fundamental right. In South Africa, this vision faces a critical challenge. According to the Oppenheimer Memorial Trust Education Research Report, only 55% of teachers can perform at Grade 4 level, highlighting a crisis in the education system. But we refuse to accept this status quo. At the Indaba Institute, we're pioneering change through our Community Rooted Education (CoRE) Programme—a seven-month course designed to empower women directly in their own communities. Why women? Because they are the backbone of our society, and investing in their education means investing in the future. I look forward to bringing you more life changing community moments as we scale. #IndabaInstitute #ECD #EmpoweringWomen
What an honour! To launch our transformative Community-Rooted Education (CoRE) in yet another community: Paarl, in the Drakenstein Municipality, Paarl, Western Cape! In the next 10 months, up to 35 x courageous women Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers will work through our CoRE Programme, with our Indaba Institute trainers, who we call our "CoRE Facilitators". To be enabled, and empowered, to develop their skills and insights ... as they nurture our youngest children of tomorrow. We hope you will follow our journey, together! For schools, hubs play an important role in building school capacity to respond to the needs of culturally diverse families, whether through running in-school activities like breakfast club and multicultural days, parents volunteering in the canteen, or by inviting organisations into the hub to support family needs. Because of hubs, children arrive at kindergarten and school well socialised and ready to learn, and parents are more actively involved in their child’s education. The 2023 Deloitte SROI evaluation proved that hub activities have contributed to an improvement in outcomes and reduced developmental delays for children participating in hubs valued at $7.3 million. This is through a combination of children accessing early years programs contributing to their educational outcomes, plus the opportunity for their families to be better connected with the school. That's why prep transition activities like the one run in the community hub at Parramatta West Public School in NSW makes such a difference to everyone involved. #ConnectShareLearn Photo: Early childhood education, Miss Nadia teaching the children how to identify words that rhyme as part of Parramatta West Public School community hub's HUBjuniors program.

A new report from the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) highlights accomplishments in Massachusetts preschool access, but also showcases that there is still much work to be done. As the State of Preschool Report notes, through our community collaborations between public school programs and private child care centers, we are working on solutions. Highlights: 📚 Gov. Maura Healey's Gateway to Pre-K initiative, which plans to distribute roughly $39 million between the state's 26 "Gateway" cities and towns to help expand free and low-cost preschool to 4-year-olds by the end of 2026. 📚 The state’s Commonwealth Preschool Partnership Initiative, a preschool expansion grant program launched in 2020, is helping more communities stretch their free preschool programs to full 6-hour days. "Book was shocked to discover, many of the other #privateschools designated for special education didn’t even have a trained special education teacher on staff... the Opportunity Scholarship — that has been publicly subsidizing private schools since 2014. But many of the nondisability-specific schools simply refuse to enroll children with disabilities, while others add upcharges for special learning needs...#NorthCarolina became the tenth state to universalize its private school #voucherplan. Starting next year, even ultrawealthy parents who have never dreamed of enrolling their kids in public school can begin cashing in on the program... leaving public school on a voucher caused learning loss on par with or greater than the losses seen from catastrophes like Hurricane Katrina and the COVID-19 pandemic...vouchers are primarily being claimed by privileged parents whose children have never attended public school...the absence of transparency and reporting requirements make it likely that private schools could engage in illegal discrimination or create hostile environments for minority students, without repercussions. #GiveSTLDay Early Giving is now open! I'm asking friends in my network to consider supporting Navigate STL Schools. Navigate advocates for equitable enrollment by sharing relevant resources and transparent information about the traditional, charter, magnet, and independent school options available. Navigate focuses on Early Childhood Education, Transition (ECE, elementary, middle and high school) Programs, and making sure residents understand their educational options in the city of St. Louis. Kindergarten and the skills learned at this grade level are critical to a student’s educational journey. And currently, kindergarten isn’t a requirement in the state of MO. In addition to this, being prepared for the transition to kindergarten starts earlier than most caregivers anticipate, putting them behind in the enrollment process - leaving them with less school options, and less time to access any additional resources they may need to get their student to [and through] school. Our Kinder Readiness Program works to solve this problem! Did you know that $73 can provide one month of kindergarten readiness services to a family? And $877 can support one entire ECE center with Kinder Readiness Services for a month? Will you join our Kinder Readiness Giving Club and help support this pivotal transition time for one or more families? https://lnkd.in/gfNDazU8
