This year's World Patient Safety Day theme, ‘Engaging Patients for Patient Safety’ is a driving force for our teams at Bionical Emas. Our dedicated Patient Advocacy team works closely with patient advocacy groups to better understand each unique patient community’s needs, concerns, and experiences. This direct engagement helps to inform the design and delivery of a clinical trial or early access program. When considering participating in a clinical trial or early access program, every patient will be taken through an informed consent process. Patients will discuss with their treating physician about the investigational medicine, and whether potential benefits outweigh the potential risks. https://lnkd.in/e5RJJsfd #WorldPatientSafetyDay #PatientSafety #PatientAdvocacy

Patients and patient advocacy groups (PAGs) are vital to include and collaborate with at every touchpoint of treatment development, from clinical trial protocols and peer review of research to creation of programs and initiatives intended for their use. We believe that active and ongoing patient engagement results in more effective and beneficial treatments, and ultimately helps improve patient outcomes and overall health. That’s why our patient advocacy and engagement strategies are so important to us—and to you. In honor of National Patient Advocacy Day, we want to highlight the importance of listening to patients, their carers, and the patient advocate community.
