We advised BNP Paribas, Bank of America and ING as Joint Lead Managers on PostNL’s inaugural issuance of €300 million 4.750 per cent. sustainability-linked bonds due 2031 (SLBs). The interest rate of the SLBs is linked to three KPIs, which are a reduction of PostNL’s absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by more than 90% and its absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 45% by 2030. Additionally, PostNL aims to boost the proportion of women in senior management roles to 36% by 2030. This transaction is a great example of how ESG and funding can positively work together. It was a pleasure working with the teams at BNP Paribas, Bank of America and ING, and of course PostNL and its counsel. The Linklaters team was led by Hugo van der Molen, Tom van Steenbrugge and Akrit Anand of our Capital Markets team. #PostNL #ESG #Sustainability-linked Bonds #LinklatersAmsterdam

Linklaters advised ING, ABN AMRO Bank N.V., BNP Paribas, Intesa Sanpaolo and the other banks as Joint Lead Managers on KPN's issuance of a green €500 million corporate hybrid bond. This subordinated instrument shares features with both debt and equity. With the issuance of the green hybrid bond, KPN further demonstrates its commitment to its sustainability ambitions through financing arrangements. The hybrid bond issuance was combined with an any and all tender offer to holders of KPN’s outstanding €500 million Perpetual Fixed Rate Resettable Capital Securities to tender their securities for purchase by KPN for cash. ING acted as one of the dealer managers for this tender offer. The Linklaters team advising on this combined transaction was led by Hugo van der Molen, supported by Christopher Sanderson, Tom van Steenbrugge and Lisa Morandi of our Capital Markets team.

Last Friday, colleagues from Linklaters Amsterdam participated in the Yet Zuidas Run The Yet Zuidas Run is a running event that goes around the Zuidas. This year marked the 14th edition. Annually, more than 300 companies participate. This year the LoveLife Run was also a part of the 5 km Yet Zuidas Run. The focus of this run is on raising funds for Fight cancer, which uses these funds through KWF Kankerbestrijding to finance groundbreaking cancer research. Each participant was challenged to raise as much money as possible. We would like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and effort. Hopefully, see you next year! #Linklaters #ZuidAsRun #5KM #10KM #Health #LoveLife
