The tips above are important - once you have a clear plan forwards and have closed the skills gap. If you're not there yet: 1. Spend some time unlearning what success is and learn to define what success looks like in your career: - what difference do you want to make? - how much money will really make you happy? - what skills do you really want to use if you weren't afraid of being criticised, etc, etc. Without unlearning what society, family or school taught you success is, you may be running at 100 miles but in a direction that won't ultilmately fulfill you. 2. Spend time building your career strategy. We spend more time strategizing our 2-4 weeks of holiday we get each year than on the 48 weeks we spend at home. Spending time overthinking in your bed "what else could I do" or scrolling through job sites "looking for inspiration" DON'T count as strategizing. Instead thinking about how you could make your work an expression of who you really are, of your talents, of your gifts. Then use jobs to help you earn, learn and meet the right people. Finally, 3. Save posts, connect with others - do whatever is required to make that first step.
