Everyone on LinkedIn Has become salesy Everyone wants to get clients Everyone wants to sell their services And even the LinkedIn sales team is approaching me 😁 There is nothing wrong with selling your services But it is wrong to approach like a salesperson No one likes it When someone pitches their services to them Always build a relationship with your clients first Then offer them your services Don't pitch them directly in the first message First talk to them like a friend First understand their problem and then give them a solution Then they will take your services PS: Are you also a salesy person on LinkedIn?

For the love of God, stop "selling" I get it, you're in sales. But you know the number one way to NOT close deals? To bloviate about what YOU think is valuable and why YOU think someone should sign up, and why it is SO VERY URGENT for them to sign up RIGHT NOW. The world of selling has evolved over the last 20 plus years. I've watched it go from relational, to transactional, and back to relational again. If you want to close deals, do these 3 things: 1. Understand your customer's current pain and future goals 2. Treat them, talk to them, interact with them, the way you'd want someone to interact with you 3. Drive the "yes through" QUESTIONS that allow THEM to make the decision that's best for their company. Gently guide them there, don't PUSH them there Nothing worse than watching canned outreach, followed by a canned pitch, attached to a high pressure play from a salesperson who didn't listen and understand the value and triggers.
