Android's favorite note-taking app, google Keep, is stepping up its game with a long-awaited feature: text formatting. Google has announced the rollout of options to bold, italicize, and enhance text in your notes, and it's about time! Some sharp-eyed users like Mishaal Rahman have already spotted it, indicating a speedy arrival. These may not be groundbreaking features, but they're certainly a welcome addition to Keep. Google's been giving Keep some well-deserved attention recently, with a new homescreen widget and the ability to open multiple Keep windows on your device. Plus, version history is on the way, allowing you to track changes made to your notes over time. If you're new to Keep, it's an exceptional note-taking app available on Android, iOS, and the web. It's fast, simple, and smart. It reformats links as rich previews and adapts notes to their content. You can draw, record audio, and set reminders, all while keeping everything searchable across Google products. Yet, Keep's future is uncertain. Despite its capabilities, it doesn't receive as much love as other Google apps. But for now, let's celebrate this significant update and hope that Keep continues to thrive as one of the best note-taking apps out there. #Google #GoogleKeep #NotesApp

From a report: It's the first consumer-facing release after two developer previews, and while we have a good idea of what to expect from Google's next mobile OS version, we'll certainly hear more at the company's annual developer conference soon enough. The blog post highlighting updates in today's release covers some pretty pedestrian stuff. Apps will scale edge to edge by default and will draw behind translucent system bars on the top and bottom of the screen, rather than around them. There's OS-level support for app archiving and unarchiving so third-party app stores can take advantage of this feature. Apple just announced more options for apps distributed in EU!   This means EU users won't necessarily need to go through the App Store to download your app. You'll have more control over how users experience your app and potentially bypass App Store fees (although there are some stipulations). Here's the catch: only certain developers qualify. You'll need to be a long-standing member (two continuous years or more) of the Apple Developer Program with a successful app (over 1 million downloads in the EU). There are also ongoing requirements like clear data collection policies. You'll also need to factor in the Core Technology Fee, which applies to app installs over 1 million per year. What do you think about this change? Is it a good move for developers ? Is a million downloads too high a bar for smaller developers? Personally, I'm curious to see how this plays out.
