"Always Hungry. Always Foolish."

Amazon is testing humanoid robots, known as Digit, developed by Agility Robotics, a company led by Carnegie Mellon University alumni. These 5-foot, 9-inch robots are designed to work in warehouses, picking up packages and moving autonomously. Amazon aims to enhance delivery efficiency with these robots. While they won't replace human jobs, they will handle mundane tasks. Agility Robotics plans to produce 10,000 Digit units annually, and Amazon is exploring opportunities to scale their use. These robots are fully autonomous but face challenges in navigating complex, real-world environments. Agility is considering partnerships with manufacturing and logistics companies.
