Some specificity in the skills and experience required helps potential applicants self-qualify if the job is right for them. Add too many specifics, though, and you risk turning away great people who might excel in the role but may not fit all the must-haves. And as Claire Stroh, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP explains below, candidates want to learn more than just what's required of the job! Can they see how they would fit as an employee on your team? Some specificity in sharing core aspects of your culture can help attract great people who you want to apply.
