Although I'm not in a direct recruiting role, my personal preferences have been using Indeed to hourly, blue-collar workers (I have manufacturing clients) and LI for every thing else.

This is a bit off-topic, but what do you think about employers building their own databases of interested prospects that they can directly email when a new role is opened up? Especially, gathering contact info and areas of interest during job fairs where there is in-person interaction.
