While #Juneteenth marked the end of slavery in the United States, it was just the beginning of the journey toward true freedom and equality. We recognize that mental health is an important part of this journey. We stand with the Black community in their pursuit of mental wellness and equality by improving access to affordable and personalized mental healthcare for all.

The Black community faces unique challenges when it comes to mental health stigma. Historical and systemic factors such as racism, discrimination, and unequal access to healthcare contribute to the perpetuation of the stigma. Society’s perception of mental health issues within the black community tends to be influenced by stereotypes and misconceptions leading to harmful judgments and biases. It is essential that we empower individuals to seek help and support which can be achieved by increasing access to mental health services and resources for the Black community. #AFA #mentalhealth #blackmentalhealth #blackhistorymonth

July is #BIPOCMentalHealthAwarenessMonth, a time to recognize the unique challenges faced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in accessing mental health care and to celebrate their resilience and strength. Mental health is essential for everyone, and breaking the stigma in our communities is crucial. Let's amplify voices, share resources, and support each other in prioritizing self-care and seeking help when needed. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Remember, it's okay to not be okay. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. 💖 #MentalHealthMatters #BIPOC #EndTheStigma #SelfCare #CommunitySupport

July is a time to focus on the unique strengths and challenges that Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) face when it comes to mental health. During this month, we also honor the memory of Bebe Moore Campbell, an American author, journalist, teacher, and mental health advocate who worked to shed light on the mental health needs of the Black community and other underrepresented communities. In BIPOC communities, there is often a history of overcoming adversity which can make talking about mental health struggles uncomfortable, but it’s okay to need help. Changing where and how we talk about mental health can foster support and healing in BIPOC communities. #CCA #EAP #BIPOCMentalHealthAwareness #BebeMooreCampbell #normalizetalkingaboutmentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #BIPOCMentalHealth #destigmatizementalhealth

It is imperative that we continue to bring HEALING JUSTICE to the center of liberation through the lens of ending ableism, racism, queerphobia and ALL forms of oppression against Black and marginalized communities within the mental health care system. This month, and every month, we affirm that mental health is not just about therapy and medication, but abolition, building and resourcing alternative care systems, economic support and so much more ✊🏾 #HealingJustice #MentalHealthMonth

Good morning all! Today marks a very important day as the Black Mental Health Manifesto is launched. This manifesto was put together by a group of Black individuals with lived experience and organisations. These are asks that have come from the community and when the community speaks we need to listen. Everyone deserves and SHOULD HAVE access to the right support, environment and care to thrive. Unfortunately, due to the impact of racism and systemic inequalities, this is not a reality for Black communities. This manifesto calls for change with asks of the government, academia, schools, the NHS and more. Support the manifesto today. #mentalhealth #ProtectBlackMentalHealth #Communities #LivedExperience #Racism #SystemicRacism #RaceEquity

🌟 As we celebrate BiPOC Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, I want to share a powerful message about the importance of mental health awareness, especially for minority groups. The statistics show that only one in three black adults with mental illness receive treatment, and 10.4% of black adults have no healthcare coverage. This month, let's break down barriers and prioritize mental health support for marginalized communities. Let's understand the historical context of healthcare disparities and come together to support mental well-being. Together, we can make a difference. #MinorityMentalHealthAwareness #SupportMentalHealth #BreakBarriers #EmpowerChange
