“If it’s not fun, why are we doing it?” is a question I think about often. Now, I know not everything at work is fun (I see you, expense reports!), yet if fun becomes an exception rather than the norm, it’s time to start asking why. For me, fun shows up at work in many ways: seeing an idea move to implementation, thinking about “what if”, laughing about the silly things we do in corporate settings, and coaching others. How does fun show up for you at work?

Let's play a filtering problem game An invisible target on the integer line starts at 0. On each round it either stays put, moves to the left or moves to the right by 1 with probability 1/3 each. You are then asked to guess the location of the target, and told whether your guess was correct or wrong. What is the optimal strategy to maximize the expected number of correct guesses, say in N >= 2 rounds?

y = 0.5ln(z √(z² 1)) 0.5 where z = sinh(1)s - sinh(1)/2; contract binary tree of open subdomains; ubound sum distances between s and x and between x and next element of Fn, for the sequence s = {1/m, 2/m, ...}; etc.
"Gyroscopic ratio = only stability. Ticks = B alt crosses; grav ref index & blueshift via dense B alt" (I keep trying to do this in 101 characters. Keeps my mind more exercised, I guess).

Reflecting on a post I had written several years back. While it might be viewed as oversimplified modelling, these exercises help me to understand the deeper motives that might be at play. With recent developments such as #eidas , I believe that the real conflict is seated in who gets to set the final rules (i.e., control) on the anchors and rails that we use in our daily lives and organize our polities. I pass no moral judgment, I am only trying to understand what the real game that is being played out before our varied devices. https://lnkd.in/gv3Dd3s5

That feeling when: > 1746 passed, 71 skipped, 3 xfailed, 77 warnings in 50.36s And just these are dedicated to phrase matching :) > 1321 passed, 1 warning in 20.85s All of SearchArray's phrase matching uses roaringish now. But I probably broke some perf thing. After getting 1321 tests to pass, its time to break it again to make it faster https://lnkd.in/etNDnXEE
