At Lidl Spain and in the Commercial area we work focused at excellence and avoid mediocrity ( #esquivarlamediocridad). We know that the good #performance of all the people on our teams makes a difference in our competition and also makes us unique. Demanding work always begins with ourselves; in management: we know our role and we take the responsibility (#bestpitstopF1), we practice a systematic and professional analysis of “the truth”, we promote self-criticism in an open-direct, #respectful and brief-concise format ( #Irespect) and we set SMART objectives with detailed action plans to achieve them. We also like to celebrate and recognize the success (which is a lot) very quickly and we forget the failures (few) even faster, but always learning from them to move us on ( #timgrovers). Never giving up. Always #optimistic. Here at Lidl we like to work like this. This is #teamlidl, this is our universe. And this bunch of genuines and passionates commercial managers ( #belonging) ( #jerrymcguire) are the best at this…but just one example of many more. Take care guys… we go for success. Let’s move us on. Let’s go for Lidl as Nr. 1 customer option. After 6 months I am delighted to be back in my country and be able to work together with these guys. #performance #desempeño #leistung #pasion #detalle #respeto #confianza #pertenencia #teamlidl

One of the greatest lessons I learned during my time at F&F (Tesco) was the profound importance of understanding geographical and cultural nuances. Tesco’s investment in cultural training for their buying teams ensured that we genuinely understood what mattered to customers in the various regions we operated in. This often revealed perspectives that differed significantly from the average UK customer. Researching what drives customer behaviours and decisions in specific regions is something I deeply value and enjoy. So when I was planning a trip to New York, I deliberately set aside an entire day to visit baby boutiques in Manhattan. Engaging with the owners and staff yesterday was truly enlightening. While there were many similarities with UK customers, the importance and weighting of these considerations varied significantly. If you are trading or planning to trade with North America, or if you are an American business looking at expanding into the UK market, I’d love to share insights from our market research. Let's connect and explore how understanding these nuances can drive success in new markets! #CulturalNuances #MarketResearch #CustomerInsights #InternationalTrade #Retail #NorthAmerica #CustomerBehavior

#ALDIpower | From leading a store to leading an IT team Get to know the inspiring Patryk Hesse from Poland and his personal journey at ALDI Polska in today's new episode of “Success Stories”! This is his story: 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐤, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐈? “After getting some experience in the sales and accounting sector, I was looking for a job at a company with perspective and development opportunities – which happened to be ALDI! And right from the beginning I got the most important job in my opinion: the Store Manager! This gave me an overall perspective on the processes in the store, which helped me in my further positions.” 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞? “As I climbed up the career ladder, I grew more and more interested in the projects and innovations behind our stores. By the time, this led me to the role as a Senior IT Manager. A big highlight for me in that regard was the formation of a new team and leading an international project introducing a new system.” 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐈? “Absolutely! I really appreciate the development opportunities that ALDI is providing. Since my employer believes in me, I am motivated to take on further responsibility and educate myself as well: Therefore, I try to not only be a reliable part of the #ALDIcrew, but also use my free time to take on new knowledge steps, like via achieving a diploma in Project Management for example. This helps me to even better understand the tasks I currently am responsible for.” Do you want to get to know more of our power-colleagues and their success stories? We are happy to introduce Vincent Seni, one of our deputies in our warehouse in Ecublens. Vincent has been with Migros Online since 2014 and tells us more about his daily tasks and challenges. - Can you tell us about your career at Migros Online and the different positions you've held? I started 9 years ago, initially working in the heavy products area as a picker. Then, a few months later, I joined the fresh produce team and as time went by, I did all the additional tasks such as tidying up, checking dates, etc... In 2022, with all the changes due to covid, Migros Online offered me the job of deputy where I now manage a team of around 30 people. - How would you describe MO (Migros Online) in 3 words? Stimulating, team spirit, multicultural. - What do you like about working here? What I like about this job is the fact that I'm always on the go, that I'm challenged on a daily basis in logistics to satisfy our customers, and that time never goes by. - What are your main challenges? First of all, I have to ensure the team's performance, bearing in mind that I'm managing more than thirty people, which requires a lot of communication, knowing how to motivate them during difficult moments so that everything runs smoothly, and dealing with last-minute unforeseen events. - What advice would you give employees who wish to develop? Stay motivated and persevere during busy periods like Easter and Christmas. Choosing a company whose aim is to help people is even more encouraging. Covid was a difficult time for all of us, as orders increased tremendously all at once, and knowing that we were there for our customers was really rewarding. #migros #migrosonline #logistics #longcareer

We are happy to introduce Santiago Remeseiro, one of our Team Leads in our warehouse in Ecublens. Santiago has been with Migros Online since 2007 and tells us more about his daily tasks and challenges. - Can you tell us about your career at Migros Online and the different positions you've held? I started at Migros Online, which was then called LeShop.ch, as a picker in the mezzanine area on a temporary contract in September 2007 via a placement agency. I was then named employee of the year and was subsequently offered a permanent contract. After a while, I was offered a position as pallet zone assistant. I enjoyed this position for many years, and then my superiors thought of me for a managerial position that was opening up in the freezer zone, which I still occupy with passion to this day. - How would you describe Migros Online in 3 words? Teamwork, human values and conviviality. - What do you like about working here? I'm grateful to be working for a great company that encourages me to progress professionally and trust me. - What are your main challenges? Managing to adapt on a daily basis to the many changes taking place at Migros Online, for example, maintaining the deadlines given for issuing orders, while maintaining a good working spirit and a motivated team. - What advice would you give to employees who want to develop their careers? Stay motivated, be receptive and open to change. #migros #migrosonline #logistics #longcareer
