#GreatBigGreenWeek is a celebration of community action to protect nature and tackle climate change! As part of our now 7-year partnership with Neighbourly, we’re proud to be supporting local charities making these aims central to their mission. 🌎🌳 Since 2017, to help tackle food poverty and the carbon emissions caused by food waste, we’ve donated over 36 million meals to local charities. 🍎 🥕 That includes good causes like South Liverpool Zero Waste Community, Tummies Not Trash and Conservation of Our Coastal Wildlife and many more which put sustainability at the heart of what they do! 💚 In our stores, look out for customer donation points and our ‘Good to Give’ shelf labelling which highlights the items most needed by good causes. Lidl GB What do you have to say about half of your chicken products contaminated with superbugs and E coli ? This is shocking, please take action and stop selling fast-growing chickens. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-13541599/E-coli-Lidl-chicken-riddled-superbugs-bacteria-MRSA.html

This is disgraceful, please take action now! Stop selling frankenchickens and improve your animal welfare standards.

Low welfare isn't just bad for animals. @LidlGB's chicken meat is contaminated with dangerous superbugs. When will Lidl do the right thing and stop using unhealthy, fast-growing breeds?! #LidlGermScandal https://lidlsuperbug.com/

I’m appalled to hear about the superbugs in your chicken meat! Chickens are suffering and people are at risk. When will you stop selling these fast-growing chickens?

Hi Lidl GB. It's confusing to me that you talk a lot about protecting nature and supporting local communities, when HALF of your chicken products are contaminated with superbugs according to a new laboratory test commissioned by Open Cages and other organisations. Antibiotic resistant bacteria is no joke. It can cause serious infections which may be untreatable with most types of antibiotics, and it's recognised as one of the world's leading public health threats. I wrote to you several times to discuss our findings, but have had no reply. We have been asking you for years to stop selling frankenchickens. Now we see that it's not only the animals who pay the price. Please DM me if you'd like to talk, or email me at [email protected]. https://metro.co.uk/2024/06/18/lidls-fresh-chicken-riddled-superbugs-campaigners-claim-21055086/?ico=top-stories_news_top

Absolutely...They are just trying to obviously protect themselves and factory farmers generally so the industry keeps going! All about themselves and money of course as always. Animal suffering means zero to them!!☹️

Completely disturbing that you guys are so dismissive of evidence showing that your chickens have antibiotic resistant bacteria and are willing to put many people at risk of serious disease/death. Not to mention the absurd and disgusting animal cruelty there chickens endure. Being a doctor, I will never support your company and will warn everyone I know.

You can sell all the vegan stuff you want, but why would I give my money to a company that cares so little about chickens AND your own customers? Hock burns on these poor girls bodies from sitting in their own waste, and now your meat is exposed as being contaminated and you still don't care! Avoid.
