The Community Media Archive came about because of a partnership between John Hauser, Access Humboldt and The Internet Archive in 2009. Access Humboldt wanted to provide online access to our TV programs for members that did not have cable TV service, but lacked the internet bandwidth or storage space for the project. The Internet Archive agreed to provide both, not just for Access Humboldt, but for all Community Media Centers and PEG TV stations. The Community Media Archive now contains more than 1,700 collections and 2,100,000 videos and occupies 1.8 PetaBytes of disk space. That's at least 90 of the largest hard drives made to store all the videos and related metadata.. To get a sense of the diversity of collections in the Community Media Archive see: https://bit.ly/3QewyXy or to see statistics on the number of videos per collection and the number of times videos have been viewed/downloaded, see:

The quotation is warm and fuzzy.
“Monument,” an art installation and book share station originally located at Monument Circle, is now located outside Central Library. “Monument” was created by Brian McCutcheon for The Public Collection.. It was installed on Monument Circle between August 2015 and September 2019. The books in Monument are free and available to everyone. Borrow and return books supplied and stocked by The Library at your leisure. No library card is required. The reinstallation was made possible by the Herbert Simon Family Foundation, Buckingham Foundation, and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
