If you're anything like me, you belong to at least five communities and always want to be in the know. And if you're online as much as I am, you find yourself sifting through misinformation/disinformation/clickbait journalism/influencer content before you can finally get the information you need. As a journalist, I enjoy verifying sources and uncovering the real story, but most people don't have the time or patience. This is why I started Enpak. Today, 8 in 10 Americans get their news on digital devices, surpassing TV, radio, or print. Among 18-29 year-olds, social media is the most common news source. Social media has changed the way we consume and interact with news. 53% of Americans get at least some of their news from social media. If we could make social media better for news, could we improve how people experience and consume news? Through Enpak, we want to reimagine what more informed communities might look like. I want my colleagues to return to reporting stories that matter to them and their communities, and I want people to be more informed so they can make better decisions about their future. 📲 I hope you'll join us on this journey and download our MVP in the app stores, look for Enpak by Enpak Social 😊. ✨ Catch my interview with Paul here: 🎙 Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/e3zZ6XY2 🎙 Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eQi68UtJ 📹 YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eXPPc7U6 #EnpakSocial #LocalJournalism #CommunityEngagement #NewsReimagined #DigitalNews #StayInformed

[Whitehouse: If American citizens aren’t allowed to understand who’s who on the political playing field—who’s playing for what team, who they really are, who they’re representing—you have disabled perhaps the most fundamental foundation of democracy.] [Pomerantsev: When you live in this world where you don’t know which money, which powerful figures are behind which political decisions that are being made around you and influence you—when it’s all sort of wrapped in this sort of mist—then you feel kind of helpless. You feel you have no agency. You feel you don’t matter. You feel as if you have no say.] Japan also faced this type of crisis during Abe Shinzo's second Administration, and it still continues although it just a little has been reduced in magnitude. In order to clear the crisis, Abe Shinzo's fellows must be eradicated. They mostly commit insider trading of stocks of Japanese businesses and US defense contractors. Therefore, if US, EU, UK, South Korea, and China cooperated to buy yen massively, the remnant of Abe's faction who commit insider trading would suffer great loss. https://lnkd.in/graQ_DQZ

[Kaleniuk: Well, if there is alliance between America and Russia, between America and China, there will be end of democracy in America. It’s as simple as that.] I think that Ms. Daria Kaleniuk just a little misunderstands China. Japan and China are much the same in terms of authoritarian states. And, US has security treaty with Japan, which is as authoritarian as China. Therefore, even if US-China Alliance were established, it won't impact Ukraine and the world. Russia is much different from China. China has substantial plasticity. ( https://lnkd.in/g8mQwqeT ) Whether a country is authoritarian or not is not something that can be clearly distinguished as a digital value of 1 or 0, but should be distributed along a spectrum. For example, if China is authoritarian at 65-35, Japan is more likely to be authoritarian at 75-25, and Northern Europe is around 5-95, with almost no authoritarian tendencies. Of course, Russia is around 90-10 authoritarian. This paraphrase reminds me of Japan Lobby's silent invasion of America's political sphere: [Kaleniuk: I want to believe that America has strong institutions and American democracy will survive any shake-up. But if it was just up to American people, that would be very easy. However, if America is exposed to all these external influences of authoritarian systems and dirty money, that is much harder because sometimes you don’t understand, actually, who is doing some operations on your ground, who is manipulating you. And that is a very dangerous situation.] Japan Lobby abundantly gives money to America's think tanks and mass media in order to influence America's policies and public opinion. Most of Americans lack necessary vigilance against Japan Lobby, although many Americans have healthy vigilance against Russia and excessive vigilance against China. Make no mistake: Japan is much more authoritarian than China. Americans need more vigilance against Japan Lobby.
