The right to use a name comes from trademarks, NOT from domain or company registration. Indeed, you should register a trademark in other countries too if you have customers elsewhere or intend to trade in other jurisdictions. Doing so protects your revenues. If you aim to obtain exclusive online sales rights for a manufacturer's products, it becomes essential to take on the role of a sole distributor. ✔️ Achieving this requires formalizing a licensing agreement with the manufacturer and securing an exclusive license to use the trademark – the symbol under which the manufacturer identifies its products. However, there are certain nuances to consider. ✔️ This approach is feasible only if the manufacturer has a registered trademark. The parties involved can outline the scope of rights and their exclusivity within the contract. ✔️ However, not all manufacturers have registered trademarks. Additionally, the products may not carry a brand identity. ✔️ If the supplier is a foreign entity, the process becomes more complex.
