Sunday reading list! 50…that’s on average how many non-fiction books I read every year… 📚 Yep, I'm a nerd! 🤓
…I need to add more fiction to my repertoire but I’m eternally curious and I love learning and so I often come across non-fiction books that I’m eager to dig into.
Here are 10 books on 'systems-thinking' that I’d highly recommend (in no particular order):
1️⃣ Designing Regenerative Cultures, Daniel Christian Wahl
2️⃣ Emergent Strategy, adrienne maree brown
3️⃣ Limits and Beyond: 50 years on from The Limits to Growth, what did we learn and what's next?, Ugo Bardi and Carlos Alvarez Pereira
4️⃣ Education in a Time Between Worlds, Zachary Stein
5️⃣ The Collapse of Complex Societies, Joseph Tainter
6️⃣ Thinking in Systems, Donella Meadows
7️⃣ The Web of Life, Fritjof Capra
8️⃣ Small Arcs of Larger Circles, Nora Bateson
9️⃣ Combining, Nora Bateson
🔟 The Web of Meaning, Jeremy Lent
Some of these may not seem like obvious “systems-thinking” books, trust me, this collection will give you a well-rounded introduction to how to think systematically.
I say “introduction” not because these books are basic (they’re not!) but because systems thinking is a practice…it’s an orientation backed by a deep intuition in the interdependency of life.
Enjoy!
❓ What books would you add to the list?
My TBR is long but I always enjoy adding recommendations!
