Go beyond the immediate: To have joy, you must first let it in. Aim for Joy as your permanent state of being.
Focus on empathy: Compassion will follow. It’s that simple.
Essential nature: Evaluate what your essential nature is and review whether your life fully aligns with it
Eat right: Bring the principles of freshness, seasonality, and compatibility into your diet. Eat local; in the northeast, that means root vegetables! Also, make sure you incorporate some fasting into your life
Think calmly: Explore practices that help to retain focus and generate calm, such as breathing exercises (pranayama) or raja yoga. Practice patience and find reward by extending how you envision life in the long term
Rejoice in art: Incorporate art into life and rejoice in its power to allow our creativity and sense of beauty to flower
Ground yourself: Incorporate nature into your life and live in the embrace of the sun, the soil, and animals.
