It was informative and fun for the Leave No Trace staff to get a wheelchair tour of Wonderland Lake today with Topher, an accessibility expert for Boulder OSMP. Accessibility in the outdoors will be one of the themes of the Leave No Trace global summit this fall (10/7-9) in Boulder.

Community Spotlight: Fannin County Chamber of Commerce and CVB (Georgia's Blue Ridge) In 2020, this Georgia community partner faced a surge in visitors due to COVID-19, leading to overuse and damage to trails and outdoor areas. In response, they spread the Leave No Trace message through billboards, ads, websites, and publications, reaching millions with the call to pack out what you pack in and preserve these beautiful spaces. Local high schoolers also joined the effort by growing milkweed to promote native pollinator gardens.
