My Mass Comms 101 professor (Yvette Arts 🫶) described PR professionals as connectors; as people who kept bridges in one pocket and chasms in other. Their practice within the communications realm was, naturally, pairing the right chasm to the right bridge. This snapshot captured just that: connecting Houston filmmakers to Houston marketers to Houston career resources. Not to get too sentimental, but lives were changed on this project as we all had an opportunity to find the right bridge-to-chasm fit. As you go into December, the most ridiculous and hectic month for Corporate America, keep this in mind: often times the best thing you can do for someone is make a connection. It takes nothing from you— a text message, an intro email, an exchange of ideas on the back of a napkin— but it has the power to change someone else’s life.
