The power of US Latinx consumer, $3Trillion in economic output. But not only that, ABC shared through an UCLA research, “If we were a separate country ... [the U.S. Latino GDP would be] the world's 5th largest economy in the world with the second fastest growth rate of all the top 10 economies.” When thinking about your multicultural strategies, remember about the size and economic impact that US Latinx will drive. #multicultural #multiculturalads #advertising https://lnkd.in/eiNXr58a

Key takeaways: The U.S. Latino GDP reached $3.7 trillion in 2022, the highest mark since the figure was first tracked — and the fifth-largest #GDP in the world — a new report by UCLA and Cal Lutheran shows. During the COVID-19 years from 2019 to 2022, the U.S. Latino GDP grew faster than the GDP of any of the world’s top 10 economies, including China and India. When compared with the GDPs of the world’s largest economies, the U.S. Latino GDP has been the third-fastest-growing overall since 2010. While Latinos faced high death rates from COVID-19, their “healthy lifestyle advantage,” including greater life expectancy than non-Hispanic whites, has rebounded. #Latinos helped prop up the U.S. #economy during the most challenging days of the pandemic and then spearheaded the nation’s economic recovery, according to the latest U.S. #Latino GDP report, released yesterday by researchers from UCLA and California Lutheran University. When I get the chance to pitch "Why LatAm", I like to clarify that Latin America for me, starts in the US with the Latino Community and ends in the Patagonia in Argentina. Technically I might be wrong, but here are 8 interesting data points that prove that in combine, the Latino community and LatAm are the land of opportunity. 1.- Hispanics are now 19.1% of the U.S. population but are projected to make up 26.9% by 2060. 2.-The aggregated LatAm & Caribbean GDP surpasses 6 trillion USD. It’s twice the size of India, with 1/3 of the people. 3.- The aggregated average policy rate is 12.5%. (BO, BR, CH, CO, EC, MX, PE, PY, UY) 4.- The weighted average inflation reached 8.1% year-on-year (BO, BR, CH, CO, EC, MX, PE, PY, UY) 5.- LatAm is at the middle of the road from incipient to mature. According to Latitud 's LatAm maturity index, founders and investors rate 2.465 (out of 5) the maturity state when compared to mature markets around the world. 6.- According to Latitud 's 2023 Tech Report, bank account penetration in LatAm is 74%, mainly driven by Brazil. Economies like Mexico still need to catch up, with less than 60% of the population having a bank account. 7.- The gig-workforce is becoming the backbone of the economy. In countries like Brazil, gig-workers comprise 50% of the labour. In the US, Hispanic adults are more likely than other racial or ethnic groups to have done gig work. 8.- The gig-economy in LatAm is expected to grow at a 15% growth rate.

What's happening: The U.S. Latino economy surged to $3.6 trillion in 2022, marking a significant 13% increase from the previous year and establishing it as the fifth-largest economy globally, surpassing countries like India and Canada, according to a recent report by the Latino Donor Collaborative and Wells Fargo. The Latino GDP growth, at an annual rate of 4.6%, is only surpassed by China, and is 2.6 times faster than the overall U.S. economy. This growth is driven by a 1.65% increase in the Latino population compared to just 0.08% for non-Latinos, with a younger demographic poised to enter the workforce. Leading states in Latino GDP include California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Illinois, highlighting a robust economic presence. Additionally, Latino household wealth has tripled over the past decade, though disparities remain compared to non-Hispanic white households. Projections indicate that the Latino economy will surpass Japan's by 2024 and Germany's by 2027, underlining the increasing importance of the Latino market in the U.S. economic landscape. https://brnw.ch/21wMKQx #LatinoBuzz

China's ultra-rich population is experiencing remarkable growth, outpacing that of the United States. Over the past decade, the number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals in China—those with assets exceeding $30 million—is expected to increase significantly, with projections indicating a nearly 50% rise in the coming years. This trend highlights the country's economic dynamism and the accumulation of wealth among its elite. Meanwhile, the U.S. continues to see substantial growth in its own ultra-rich demographic, but at a slower pace compared to China. The report emphasizes the shift and expansion of wealth in the global landscape, as more individuals in China join the ranks of the world’s super rich. #China #UltraRich #WealthGrowth #HighNetWorth #Economy #GlobalTrends https://lnkd.in/gn3eTPFx

Over the next three decades, the world’s working-age population will increase by 2bn, and almost 80 per cent of those workers will be coming of age in Africa. That means in effect that the vast continent is the last, best hope for economic miracles. But if it cannot deliver, global growth will continue to slide, weighed down by the demographic drag everywhere else. https://lnkd.in/d2MhNvty
The world economy’s biggest problem is Africa
