Our Club 51 / Latin GP group of companies is a sponsor of a number of rally races for this car driven by a world champion. We work closely with Formula 1 events and have a strong passion for racing as races are a strong metaphor for life and for business. They can be absolutely grueling and there is no room for laziness or for taking a break. Racing is truly an art form. Driving a purpose-built racing machine on a track has been described as playing chess strapped to a paint shaker, in a sauna. The sensation is one of transcendence where the human and the machine are both operating in harmony. A number of years ago, our group and our family has produced a number of racing television shows including Once Upon a Wheel with Paul Newman, who agreed to star in his first television program at the time, because my cousin David ended up buying six racing cars with him as part of that deal, becoming close friends and sharing in the passion for racing, entertainment production and philanthropy. Some of the best racers of the time including Al Unser, Jackie Oliver, Richard Petty, Stirling Moss, Mario Andretti, John Surtees and LeeRoy Yarbrough as well as a number of other celebrities including Kirk Douglas, Stephen Boyd, Dean Martin, Dick Smothers, Pancho Gonzales and a number of others starred in the program. We have a partnership with Formula 1 Brands on experiences created by Club 51 and our Latin GP group of companies. Join us at some of our events, with one of the most premier private member's business club in all of Latin America currently servicing over 400 major families across Latin America and expanding globally delivering a premier members only business club with a Latin flavor. #assetmanagement #entertainment #racing #investmentmanagement #investmentbanking #privateequity #hedgefunds #ipos #formula1 #f1 #autoracing

Red Bull's success in F1 wasn't just about its deep pockets. Far from it, intricate strategies transformed their sponsorship into a branding powerhouse. As they secured their 6th constructor's championship in Japan, I explored how they didn't just buy a spot in the game – they transformed it. → 1989 Gerhard Burger became a Red Bull-sponsored driver → 1995 Sponsored Sauber F1 team → 1999 RSM Marko rebranded to Red Bull Junior Team → 2004 Red Bull bought Jaguar Racing → 2005 Red Bull bought Minardi, which is now known as Alpha Tauri Red Bull’s main USP was how Mateschitz reflected his risk-taking values to the whole team. With their association with extreme sports and athletes, they continued that theme by redefining what it meant to be a Formula 1 team. They brought a party atmosphere to the paddock. How can anyone forget the Monaco party hospitality with a swimming pool? (That Daniel Riccardo dive image is unforgettable) Oh yeah, they also had dominant winning years from 2010 - 2013, which would help a company's brand image. But when they weren’t busy winning in F1, they also sponsored. 👉 Australian supercar racing 👉 Brazilian stock car racing 👉 Superbike racing 👉 A NASCAR team 👉 Dirtbike racing 👉 A WRC team 👉 Plus many more It’s worked, Red Bull has sold over 9.8 billion cans across the world in 2021, while also attracting the next generation to spend money on it’s drinks. Early on, it might have been seen as a gamble, but that’s what Red Bull is all about, taking big chances. With over 70 Grand Prix victories, it has become one of the most successful teams in less than 20 years as a constructor. A sport once financed by tobacco sponsorship, now has its fastest car bankrolled by an energy drink. Golf and Formula One. The two sports aren't often mentioned in the same breath, but there is a new exciting collaboration just announced between #taylormade and #redbullracing What are the links between golf and Formula One that make this collaboration have the potential to exist? You only have to look at the special edition Red Bull liveried Stealth 2 driver from TaylorMade to start to see the link. The Stealth 2 is designed through a process of computer-aided design and extensive wind tunnel testing. The Stealth 2's time in the wind tunnel helps engineers shape the head to be as aero-efficient as possible to help increase club head speed for the golfer. The Stealth 2 also features extensive use of carbon composite to reduce weight and increase performance. These three areas are all key to designing a Formula 1 car, which helps people understand the collaboration. We've already seen partnerships between golf and car manufacturers, but the link between Red Bull and TaylorMade is the first between Formula One and golf. Will we see more collaborations in the future? Does the partnership between Red Bull and TaylorMade open up interest from people who have never played or followed either sport? #taylormadegolf #redbullracing #formulaone #golfblogger #golfindustry #freelancecopywriter https://rb.gy/s7gn9

So here we are, race week for a Grand Prix that could legitimately claim to be the most highly anticipated in history. The Las Vegas GP represents Formula 1's biggest bet on the US to date. Fuelled by the growth in interest in the sport over the last few years, they have taken on promotion of a race for the first time, which has brought with it some significant challenges. Costs of over $500m, including a $240m purchase of land for the pit garages, team areas and hospitality, have been higher than forecast, whilst the logistical challenges of hosting a prime time Saturday night race in the "entertainment capital of the world" have been complex to say the least. Whilst some may consider the event to be a big risk, the rewards could also be huge. It's being predicted that having the F1 circus in town will bring $1.2bn to the Las Vegas economy, a pretty astounding number. Whether that continues over the race's expected ten year stay in the Sin City remains to be seen. https://bit.ly/3QTdyho #f1 #formula1 #racing #lasvegasgp #sportsbiz

“𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆”: 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘀𝗼 𝗜’𝗺 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁. This week is about Vegas (baby). Let’s dive into the Vegas GP where the casinos make way for the single-seaters – and examine the eye-watering $US500m roll of the dice, the drivers reactions – & the potholes. #𝟭 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽: The famous Las Vegas Strip will be locked off for the weekend causing huge access issues. Track time has been minimised. There are no support races at an F1 race for the first time ever. #𝟮 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁: The LVGP is set to become the most expensive street track ever built. F1 already invested $240m in acquiring a site in Las Vegas for the race, including pit and paddock buildings and the start/finish line. Additional spend of $20-30m were needed to construct facilities which will last all year. #𝟯 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: Liberty Media, run by the cable king, John Malone, owns Formula 1. The company, the Formula 1 Group (F1G) is promoting and organising the event. This is VERY rare in F1. Normally, there are local promoters in each company. In this case F1G is taking on the full risk. #𝟰 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝟭: The LVGP is run by CEO Renee Wilm and CCO Emily Prazer – both double-jobbing from their day-jobs in the F1 Group in London. Prazer put the original idea to the Las Vegas city fathers in 2019 – the pitch was ‘Imagine F1 cars going past the Bellagio Fountain’. #𝟱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 ‘𝗢𝗟𝗗’ 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗚𝗣: Vegas ran a GP in 1981 and 1982 in the Caesars Palace car park. It was not a success. Indeed, legacy of those events hindered future attempts to host a race in Las Vegas. #𝟲 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁: There is an F1's 'Emperor Package' available for $5m-> 5 nights at the Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace for 12 people in a 900 sq meters room with capacity for 75 people, views of the entire city and a dinner created by a Michelin-starred chef #𝟳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗲: CEO, Greg Maffei said “A night race down the Strip that’s going to be iconic, that 10 o’clock view… I think few Americans will not have seen that view at some point — that’s going to be on every piece of 𝘏𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬? World Champ, Max Verstappen dismissed the 17-turn track as a “not very interesting” . He did admit “the scenery will look great but the layout itself is not the most exciting." #buzzkiller He also called Formula 1’s Las Vegas Grand Prix “99% show and 1% sporting event” and said drivers looked like ‘clowns’ at the opening ceremony. #oops #𝟳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻: First practice for the F1 teams ended in disaster after just 8 minutes after a drain cover ripped a hole in the side of a Ferrari. Driver. Carlos Sainz was given a 10 second grid penalty for his travails! The Race takes place at 10pm Vegas time in the cold of a Saturday night. Will I be rolling the dice and watching it? YES!

F1 Under Liberty Media / F.I.A Current Rule Makers Is A ( JOKE !!! ) Bring Back The Days Of Ecclestone / Mosley. They Had There Issues Nothing Like Now. We are only two races in this season, and apparently it is going to be a major fiasco already. With the number of races added to the calendar, and a team like williams have no spare chassis , with additional silly street tracks like Miami /Vegas, what does that say about Liberty Media. All they care about is increasing market values and hipping up the true value of the teams. Now let's go to F.I.A ,the Australian G.P, penalizing Alonso for unsafe driving, with additional license fines for simply doing what any. CLUB or PROFESSIONAL Formula racer would do is to understand there weakness at a specific point on the track under the condition they are in forcing the overtaking driver to make a maneuver more difficult. It's Russells responsibility to recognise his given position on the track and consequences of following to closely losing front downforce. As a driver that is suppose to be the best at what he does he made a mistake and admitted it. However the F.I.A decided to step in and a judgment call overruling Russells own admission. This is crazy!! passing out penalties for just about everything, track limits, pit limits, changing the results of a race is unheard of. "penalties' should be rolled over to the next race and assessed based on starting grid positions" One only can imagine what is coming up next for the Japanese G.P and all other races. This Power Grab Of The Sport With Haphazard Rule Making Is Killing F1.
