LAT/AUTh Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics ’s Post

Did you know? According to recent studies, non-exhaust emissions from vehicles—including those from brakes—can contribute significantly to urban air pollution, sometimes even surpassing exhaust emissions in certain areas! Our esteemed LAT colleague, Dr. Athanasios Dimaratos addressed this crucial issue at EuroBrake 2024 in Mainz, Germany, from June 17-19. Athanasios presented groundbreaking research on brake emissions, a major component of non-exhaust emissions in vehicles. LAT's work sheds light on this often-overlooked aspect of automotive environmental impact. EuroBrake, the world's largest technical event for brake and friction technology, provided an excellent platform for sharing this vital research and networking with industry leaders. Kudos to Athanasios and the rest of his team for advancing our understanding of automotive emissions on an international stage! #EuroBrake2024 #AutomotiveResearch #NonExhaustEmissions #SustainableTransport
