There is a lot of hype around AI and the impact it is having on our world. Here at Lhasa Limited we believe that decisions made with the support of AI will be better (safer, faster and more robust) than decisions made without it. To be effective, such AI tools need the injection of knowledge and expertise. Interesting to read why small molecules are having something of a renaissance. 

Happy to share our new research article published in the Geomicrobiology Journal (Impact Factor: 2.5; Cite score 4.5), Taylor and Francis. Lam Dorji and Sangay Wangmo, two of my students whom I supervised completed the work well. It took considerable time for me and Dr. Satarupa Dey to develop the manuscript. The study followed the PRISMA analysis to explore the diversity of arsenic resistance in bacteria, and the molecular/genetic mechanisms of arsenic resistance. The search yielded 1140 studies, of which 196 were included in the systemic analysis. Bioremediation using bacteria to remove or detoxify arsenic toxicity is a cost-effective, and environment friendly method. Extensive table summarize several microbial strains, with operons, gene expressions and possible mechanisms. The potentials of arsenic resistant microorganisms need to be harnessed to mitigate arsenic pollution in contaminated land and water.
